Optical Illusions by Rob Gonsalves

Daily Paul - Thu, 2015-03-12 15:07 +0000

Canadian artist Rob Gonsalves is a genius when it comes to optical illusions. His surreal paintings seem ordinary enough at first, but move your eyes across the frame and suddenly the scene is something completely different. What at first looks like an aqueduct over a river gradually shape shifts into a line of massive ships sailing across the sea.

Some of my favorites:

Rand Paul, Longtime Foe Of Nation Building, Is Ready Now To Redraw The Middle East

Daily Paul - Thu, 2015-03-12 14:58 +0000

" "Nation-builder" probably isn't a term Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) would use to describe himself. The libertarian-leaning senator has built a reputation on his reluctance to intervene abroad, a point he emphasizes as he travels the country ahead of a likely White House bid in 2016.

But on Wednesday, two weeks after telling a crowd of conservatives that Republicans should give up the concept of nation building abroad, Paul called on the United States to ship arms to the Kurds with a promise to build them a nation: Kurdistan."

“Part of the problem is the Kurds aren’t getting enough arms,” Paul told Breitbart News. “The Kurds are the best fighters. The arms are going through Baghdad to get to the Kurds and they’re being siphoned off and they’re not getting what they need. I think any arms coming from us or coming from any European countries ought to go directly to the Kurds.”

He then endorsed redrawing the borders of Iraq and Syria to form a new country, exposing as he did the gaps in his understanding of the region.

Praying through the night for the jury to see through the manipulation of Judge Margaret Casey Rodgers and acquit Kent Hovind and Paul Hansen on all charges.

This trial was a classic example of government persecution, corruption, manipulation and jury tampering!

Iran Calls GOP Letter 'Propaganda Ploy,' Offers To 'Enlighten' Authors

Daily Paul - Thu, 2015-03-12 02:10 +0000

MARCH 10, 2015

Republican senators' letter to Iran about ongoing nuclear talks has prompted a lengthy response from Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who delivered an overview of international law as he critiqued the letter.

Zarif said he was astonished by the letter, saying it suggests the U.S. lawmakers "not only do not understand international law" — a subject in which he is a professor — "but are not fully cognizant of the nuances of their own Constitution when it comes to presidential powers in the conduct of foreign policy," according to Iran's Foreign Ministry.

The Iranian minister said that "in our view, this letter has no legal value and is mostly a propaganda ploy."

His response (we have more of it below) came after it was announced Monday that 47 Senate Republicans who oppose a potential deal with Iran over its nuclear program had signed a letter to the country's leaders.

Lindsey Graham promises to use military to keep congress in DC if president (audio)

Daily Paul - Thu, 2015-03-12 00:54 +0000

While visiting the Concord City Republican Committee on March 7th at the “Politics and Pies” forum, the 59-year-old Senator asserted that American ground troops would be necessary to defeat ISIS. In addition, he advocated for the reversal of defense spending cuts and, as President of the United States, Graham would restrict the movement of lawmakers until those cuts are reversed.

In a chilling statement, Graham said he would not allow Congress to leave D.C. until his demands are met, declaring he would use United States military force to keep them there.

Mom and Baby Move to Secret Location After CPS vendetta

Daily Paul - Wed, 2015-03-11 21:35 +0000

The mother at the center of a year-long child abuse case in Michigan is now being petitioned by the court to provide information on her whereabouts, despite charges against her being dropped. “It’s a bogus, coercive petition” that amounts to “social-worker terrorism,” Elizabeth Warner, attorney for mom Brenda Burns, tells Yahoo Parenting. “CPS does this — holds a child hostage — in order to get parents to comply with their wishes.”

President Obama Claims “It’s Easier to Buy A Gun Than a Vegetable”

Daily Paul - Wed, 2015-03-11 17:32 +0000

Late last week President Obama had some controversial things to say about guns during a town hall meeting in South Carolina. It is interesting he chose the Palmetto State to voice these anti-gun sentiments. South Carolina enjoys a higher rate of gun ownership compared to many other states due to looser gun registration and licensing requirements. In addition, the 2010 census ranked South Carolina as having the eleventh lowest gun murder rate in the nation. This is not a state looking for more stringent gun regulations.
