Rand Paul MUST Keep On Attacking The Clintons!

Rand is running now so he must go after Hillary's record or lack thereof...She will be the nominee of the democratic party, therefore, going after her is the best strategy, IMO...

She is unfit to run for president. She is a failure!!

Justin Raimando LA Times OpEd: 'Stand with Rand' Paul? But where, exactly?

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 19:03 +0000

By JUSTIN RAIMONDO | April 6, 2015

"Stand With Rand." That's Sen. Rand Paul's main slogan as he launches his campaign for the White House. He's holding a "Stand With Rand" rally in his home state of Kentucky on Tuesday and is holding another "Stand With Rand" rally in New Hampshire, the traditional first primary state, on Wednesday. It's an unfortunate choice of words, because it underscores the chief problem with his candidacy. For the life of me, I can't figure out what he really believes — where he really stands, especially when it comes to foreign policy.

At a January forum with fellow Republican Sens. Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz, Paul challenged his colleagues' hawkish showboating on Iran: "Are you ready to send ground troops into Iran? Are you ready to bomb them? Are you ready to send in 100,000 troops? I'm a big fan of … trying the diplomatic option as long as we can. If it fails, I will vote to resume sanctions and I would vote to have new sanctions. But if you do it in the middle of negotiations, you're ruining it.'"

Two months later, he was "ruining it" by putting his signature on an open letter to the Iranian leadership. Authored by arch-neoconservative Sen. Tom Cotton, the letter basically told Tehran that a Republican in the White House would nullify any deal negotiated by the Obama administration.

Rand is the Brand

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 17:49 +0000

If you go by the merchandise and logos, the brand for Rand will simply be "Rand".

I know Rand is a distinctive name, but the skeptic in me wonders if they are getting away from the word "Paul".

Quite an array of goods. Looks a little megalomaniacal to see so much stuff with a name on it.

He doesn't have a spatula like Obama had.

A beacon of sanity in a world of darkness

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 15:34 +0000

I'm one of the silent majority on the Ark that comes here for love, comfort, information and open-minded discussion. It's funny because I sorta started out as an "info warrior" and the DP became my hip-waders for navigating my way through the info war.

Anyway I just wanted to thank the DP community and Michael for his trust in us and the liberty movement. Thanks for sharing your personal stories of triumph, victory, achievements, pain, loss. Most of all thanks for being a beacon of sanity in a world gone mad! If the universe truly bends toward justice we must be at the apex!

Texas Straight Talk 4/6/15: The IRS and Congress Both Hold Our Liberty in Contempt

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 15:33 +0000

The IRS and Congress Both Hold Our Liberty in Contempt
by Ron Paul

This week the Justice Department announced it would not charge former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) official Lois Lerner with contempt of Congress. Some members of Congress requested that Lerner be charged with contempt after she refused to testify at a congressional hearing investigating her role in denying or delaying the applications for tax-exempt status of “tea party” and pro-limited government organizations.

Cynics might suggest it is not surprising that a former government official would avoid prosecution for refusing to tell Congress about how federal employees abused their power to help the incumbent administration. These cynics have a point, but the problem goes beyond mere partisanship. Government officials are rarely prosecuted for even the most blatant violations of our liberties. In contrast, federal prosecutors routinely pursue criminal charges against whistleblowers. For example, the only American prosecuted and imprisoned in relation to the government's use of torture was whistleblower John Kiriakou!

Hologram replaces Edward Snowden statue in Brooklyn park

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 15:31 +0000

Hours after police removed an illicit bust of Edward Snowden from its perch in a Brooklyn park on Monday, artists replaced it with a hologram.

The group of artists — who collectively call themselves "The Illuminator" and are not related to the trio behind the original sculpture — used laptops and projection equipment to cast an image of Snowden in a haze of smoke at the spot where the sculpture once stood.

They say the action was a message of defiance aimed at the authorities who "censored" the piece, according to a tumblr post.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — After watching his father try for the presidency and fail three separate times, Rand Paul is poised Tuesday to embark on his own White House bid, a campaign designed to tap into Ron Paul’s legacy without being suffocated by it.

The first-term Kentucky senator and ophthalmologist, elected in the conservative wave of 2010, will appear at the Galt House Hotel Tuesday where, advisers said, Rand Paul would present himself as a change agent who would reform the federal government.

Jesse Benton will not be part of Rand Paul campaign team, will head up super PAC instead

Rand Paul Taps Jesse Benton to Run His Super PAC
The longtime family strategist will head up America's Liberty PAC, a Paul-sanctioned outside group.

April 6, 2015

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky—Rand Paul's presidential campaign is prepared for launch—and so is his super PAC.

Roughly two weeks ago, the Kentucky senator and his top operatives began the process of severing ties with longtime Paul strategist Jesse Benton, who will helm the independent unlimited-money group established to boost Paul's candidacy and, more than likely, tear down his presidential rivals.

Benton's role with the super PAC will be general consultant, according to a person familiar with the arrangement. He will be charged with both crafting strategy and helping to reach the goal of banking between $20 million and $30 million to support Paul.

So Much To Say and Not Enough Words To Say It: My Farewell to the Daily Paul

Daily Paul - Tue, 2015-04-07 02:14 +0000

Where Do I Begin?
I'm so glad and so sad.
So rot and so Distraught.
I knew not what I got til I fought the world of the evil it brought.
A sea of patriots abound
Still don't know what they have found.
A wise old man tired and torn
with a striving son that every libertarian seems to scorn.
Liberty is in trouble and you fuckers don't even care.
Holding on to your self moral preservation as if it were something you wouldn't dare
question your own self worth in the land cheapskates...
