Found a Note In a Used Book I Bought Yesterday: Made Me Smile

Daily Paul - Mon, 2015-03-09 05:24 +0000

Yesterday I offered to drive a friend to visit her family about 45 minutes from the city we live in.

It was a family thing, so I told her I would kill time at the run-down mall a few blocks away from her family's house, since she was only going to stay for a couple of hours.

The mall I was at is one of those aging malls of the past and it was sad to see. Maybe 2/3 of the stores were empty. The food court was closed down and all that was left were a few discount types stores and a watch repair cart.

Ron Paul's Texas Straight Talk 3/9/15:Don’t Be Fooled by the Federal Reserve’s Anti-Audit Propaganda

Don’t Be Fooled by the Federal Reserve’s Anti-Audit Propaganda
by Ron Paul

In recent weeks, the Federal Reserve and its apologists in Congress and the media have launched numerous attacks on the Audit the Fed legislation. These attacks amount to nothing more than distortions about the effects and intent of the audit bill.

Fed apologists continue to claim that the Audit the Fed bill will somehow limit the Federal Reserve’s independence. Yet neither Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen nor any other opponent of the audit bill has ever been able to identify any provision of the bill giving Congress power to dictate monetary policy. The only way this argument makes sense is if the simple act of increasing transparency somehow infringes on the Fed’s independence.

Nicely done Rand! Howard Kurtz Fox news

Daily Paul - Mon, 2015-03-09 01:39 +0000

As seen on Media Buzz

As Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) gears up for a possible presidential campaign, Howard Kurtz spoke with him on "Media Buzz" about his coverage in the press, which at times has been less than positive.

"A lot of people rise up in politics from never offending anyone, either in the public or anywhere. And their skill is in being bland," Paul explained. "I was a physician for 20 years. I just sort of look at the problem and try and figure out a solution. Sometimes not everybody agrees with me on it."

National Geographic Chock Full of Propaganda

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 23:45 +0000

Those of you who haven't seen National Geographic in a while may not realize how politicized it's become. The last decade has been less about photographing people and lands of the world and more about pushing a particular agenda.

It makes me sad really...

Garbage Man Sentenced To 30 Days In Jail For Picking Up Trash Too Early

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 22:12 +0000

Well this is garbage.

A sanitation worker in an Atlanta suburb has been sentenced to 30 days in jail for working too early.

Kevin McGill had been working for only a few months for a company contracted to do sanitation work in Sandy Springs when he was cited for picking up trash just after 5 a.m. one morning, according to WSB-TV.

That violated a city ordinance which limits trash pickup to between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The statute is in place because residents have complained that early pick-up disrupts their sleep.

When McGill showed up to court to answer the citation, Sandy Springs prosecutor Bill Riley sought the maximum punishment against him — 30 days in jail.

Archeology on Saudi Soil Contains What Globalists Don't Want You to See or Know

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 17:45 +0000

In recent news, ISIS committed what seemed to the camera as the destruction of antiquities, though some reports of rebar showing up in photos made it just the destruction of replicas for another episode of Wag The Dog.

However, I don't know a globalist anywhere on earth, of any ilk, who would want these antiquities viewed, because of the obvious links to a Higher Power that they just can't compete with.

Rand Paul: “American Jewry” may start voting Republican

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 03:32 +0000

From Salon, via EPJ:

The senator [Rand Paul] added that tensions in the relationship between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could lead Jews to abandon the Democratic Party.

“I think that should send a message to a lot of American Jewry that really the time to think about who supports Israel is now,” he said.

A glimpse of rebirth and new beginnings

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 03:22 +0000

Today in Kansas City the temperature hit 70 degrees. It was a gorgeous day with a brilliant sun and just a few high level wispy clouds. I cleared out some leaves from the landscaped area around the house and noticed tulips and daffodils peaking through the ground.

Two pots my wife had left on the back deck over the winter had chives and thyme (on which we'd given up after leaving out through a hard frost last fall) coming back to life... Spring (while I'm sure a premature glimpse in my local area) provides the same "new" perspective for me every year.

Everything's starting over... Seemingly-dead things rise and live again and new generations spring up to replace previous ones.

Positive vibes abound. It's time for reawakening and new growth.

Cultivate it! In your soil, and in your soul!

And if you're good enough... in others.

UC-Irvine student council bans American flag as possible "hate speech"

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 03:13 +0000

On Thursday, the University of California at Irvine student body government voted to ban all flags from the common lobby area of student government offices. This includes the American flag.

In a 6 to 4 vote, with two abstentions, the resolution was passed by the UC Irvine student legislative council. The bill argues that flags harbor much cultural significance, and in some instances they can elicit negative associations.

Florida Deputy Shoots Unarmed Man In Face While Serving Pot Warrant

Daily Paul - Sun, 2015-03-08 03:03 +0000

This poor dude had less than 1/2 of a pound, and $3000. But, since he allegedly "advanced in a menacing way" at an officer (even though he was unarmed and shirtless) he took a bullet to the face. Still blows my mind that this happens and is considered lawful because of a plant that grows naturally all over the earth.

by Andy Campbell | The Huffington Post | 03/05/15

A Volusia County Sheriff's deputy shot an unarmed man in the face while serving a drug warrant on Wednesday.

Deputies say Derek Cruice, 26, resisted arrest during the incident at his Deltona, Florida home. Cruice's friends, six of whom were at the house when a SWAT team entered, called the fatal shooting "murder."

At 6:32 a.m., Deputy Todd Raible, 36, fired one shot, hitting Cruice in the face as he stood inside the doorway, police told WFTV. Cruice was pronounced dead a short time later at an area hospital.
