I’m going to try to write like Grokster Ed – short and sweet. IF the GOP actually believed in what they say AND do what say they believe, this post wouldn’t exist. You could ALSO say that if the Party officials actually instituted some discipline on their elected and appointed officials, this post wouldn’t exist, either.
Background:
Twenty-seven GOP lawmakers, including 18 senators and nine House Republicans, voted in favor of passing the around $1.7 trillion monstrosity that ran thousands of pages long — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was one the GOP senators who voted in favor of passing the behemoth measure. President Joe Biden signed it on Thursday.
Stick in the Eye to the GOP Base:

And yes, the NH GOP has the same “belief” (here, first “Principle”) and acts contrary to that belief as well. They act like the national Party as well.
Well, LOTS of Conservatives raked the Tweet from the Republican National Committee over that line. And few, if any, admitted to not reading it. Yet, every election time they try to cozy up to the base stating the exact belief. And as soon as some of these nitwits hear the last syllable of their oath fade in the room, “limited Government” becomes a foreign language. Instead we hear “look what I’ve done for YOU!” but never say the complementary words that SHOULD be said: “and with your money!”
Unfortunately for us, we haven’t had a Republican in our NH Federal Delegation for years so we try to keep our local electeds accountable.
It may well be that it won’t happen until the money well goes dry on its own. Then there will be no saving ANY of us.

Are increasing numbers of US adults seeing the light on the risks associated with the Pizer and Modera mRNA vaccines? In a recent survey, more than one in four say they know someone personally who died from the side effects, while 48% of adults are concerned about vaccine injury.

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of adults who have not gotten COVID-19 vaccinations believe it’s at least somewhat likely that side effects of COVID-19 vaccines have caused a significant number of unexplained deaths. Among those who have gotten the vaccine, just 38% consider unexplained deaths from the vaccine at least somewhat likely.
Similarly, while 45% of those who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 think someone they know personally might have died from vaccine side effects, only 22% of vaccinated adults think so.
Republicans are more concerned about vaccine safety. And while 48% of all those surveyed were concerned about side effects, 37% think vaccine injuries are conspiracy theories.
That breaks closely to party lines which is intriguing. If you recall, when Mr. Trump was clearing the deck to fast-track some sort of vaccine you’d be hard-pressed to find a Democrat willing to get it. It was Trump’s vaccine.
Note to those Dems. That vaccine you love more than other people’s lives is Trump’s vaccine. Yes, they were approved by the CDC and FDA under the not-so-watchful eye of a mostly Democrat congress and Joe Biden. It was never going to be a different cocktail but it fell to Biden and the Democrats to ensure safety and fully informed consent when it went live.
We can only speculate about how much more scrutiny there might have been if Trump had been re-elected.
Wait, I think we can hint at what might have been. At the first sign of vaccine harm (athletes dropping dead for example), the media would have done its due diligence, fueled by partisan hatred of Donald Trump, and demanded accountability. They would have gone after the CDC, NIH, FDA, and Fauci.
Trump (I hope) would have as well, and I’d like to think the Jabs would have been pulled under pressure from the Chief Executive.
Feel free to speculate about what ifs or what else might have been different, but it is not the same world. The one we live in has (mostly) Dems pushing that jab to the point of requiring it to – at one point – work or participate in society.
So, while more Americans could be waking up to the issues surrounding these innoculations (booster uptake is way down), the left is still in a vaccine dream state that ought to be a nightmare. This is “Trump’s vaccine,” you just removed him from any accountability or responsibility for what happened after it was “approved.”
So, now, how do you feel about them?

All “Law Reading” and no play makes Skip a dull guy – so being in a bit of a funk, I’ve written little. However, it’s a New Year and time to power through the writer’s block (yeah, that’s the ticket – although it doesn’t quite sum up the mood the last few days). So, back to writing about RSA 91-A, NH’s Right To Know Law, and a citizen’s best tool in keeping those that are governing us on the straight and narrow.

So now onto the rest of 91-A:2. So what happens when you aren’t happy with how a meeting has been called or is being conducted? What is your recourse (or as lawyers say “remedy”)? That’s clause II-a that starts to bring the hammer down. It references later Clauses that we’ll go over later but here’s the text. As always, emphasis mine and I may do a bit of reformatting simply for readability:
II-a. If a member of the public body believes that any discussion in a meeting of the body, including in a nonpublic session, violates this chapter, the member may object to the discussion.
So, if they didn’t call the meeting correctly, went into a non-public meeting incorrectly, or did anything else that is not allowed by this RSA, object!
Sidenote: We are a Dillon’s Rule State and our Statutes strictly define what a subdivision of the State may or may not do. If what a Public Body wishes to do isn’t found in a law, they can’t do it. Period. So if it isn’t specifically outlined in RSA 91-A, it is illegal.
If the public body continues the discussion despite the objection, the objecting member may request that his or her objection be recorded in the minutes and may then continue to participate in the discussion without being subject to the penalties of RSA 91-A:8, IV or V. Upon such a request, the public body shall record the member’s objection in its minutes of the meeting.
This basically states that you have to be willing to stand up and voice your opinion. When you do so, do what Saul Alinsky said to do in Rule #4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules”. Make them PROVE that what they are doing IS in RSA 91-A. Get them on record and in the minutes which is EXACTLY what the RTK Law requires:
If the objection is to a discussion in nonpublic session, the objection shall also be recorded in the public minutes, but the notation in the public minutes shall include only the member’s name, a statement that he or she objected to the discussion in nonpublic session, and a reference to the provision of RSA 91-A:3, II, that was the basis for the discussion.
A:3 deals with NON-PUBLIC meetings which are tightly controlled.
With that last bit, we’re getting there but not quite. The Above really is important – there can be no wiggle room allowed. After all, if “the window is allowed to be broken”, people are willing to start violating the next bigger “thing”. It is easier to shame them earlier than it is to fix it much later with far bigger violations as habits have been formed. Call out the error, get it recorded, and then refer back to it often until they get it right.
II-b.
(a) If a public body maintains an Internet website or contracts with a third party to maintain an Internet website on its behalf, it shall either post its approved minutes in a consistent and reasonably accessible location on the website or post and maintain a notice on the website stating where the minutes may be reviewed and copies requested.
This SHOULD be self-explanatory but there are those that have, in the past, trying to be Captain Blackbeard’s and try to hide the treasure minutes. “Consistently” is the operative word – same place, posted at the same time, meeting after meeting. There is nothing more irritating inducing than “it was here LAST time – where’d they put it NOW?!?!?!?!?!”
Frankly, I think the writers of the Law got the above and the next part upside down – you POST the notice of the meeting before the meeting and then post the minutes from the meeting afterwards:
(b) If a public body chooses to post meeting notices on the body’s Internet website, it shall do so in a consistent and reasonably accessible location on the website. If it does not post notices on the website, it shall post and maintain a notice on the website stating where meeting notices are posted.
Again, our happy word is “Consistent” – which is the whole purpose of RSA 91-A is to put a consistent framework in place to enforce that consistency. And note that last bit – if you use a website, you’re stuck with it and can’t get rid of it. You know, like the monies for a bandstand that Gilford NH accepted back last century – you spent it and now it will be there forever (ditto “the sidewalk to no-where”). While it makes sense in this day and age, it just had to be said because there are always there that are trying to game the system.
I’m going to stop here as RSA 91-A: III has several parts that I don’t want to break up.

The Illinois Supreme Court halted the state’s new law eliminating cash bail pending further litigation. Good. Maybe sanity will prevail in the end. Here’s what no-cash bail laws do: A New York man was arrested for beating his wife. He was released on no bail. Less than 24 hours later, he shot her dead in front of her three children. The no-bail situation in New York City has gotten so bad, Mayor Eric Adams now calls it ‘catch and release’ and said, “We have to stop passing laws that protect the guilty.”
Eric Adams might finally be telling the truth, but other Democrats who brought you insane ideas like no-bail are now trying to cover up the consequences of their insanity. In Chicago, the mayor – who condones riots – wants to switch from police scanners to encrypted radio frequencies. This will prevent journalists from reporting breaking crime stories and the public from learning about threats to their safety. In Colorado, a Democrat senator’s wife is urging lawmakers to defund the police the sneaky way by reallocating funds to social services. In case you don’t know, several cities got mugged by the reality of what happens when you defund the police and moved to re-fund their police departments. But not in Seattle, which has found another sneaky way to defund the police. The tolerance for riots and disparagement of police professionals caused a number of vacant positions in the police department and the city council voted last month to eliminate 80 of them.
But try as they might, the stupid Democrats can’t cover up the fact that large cities like Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles are now more dangerous than war zones like Iraq or Afghanistan for young males. The most dangerous city is actually St. Louis where the progressive prosecutor won’t accept arrests by 300 officers and the mayor won’t authorize pay increases for officers, causing the police department to operate at less than half strength. Staffing shortages and progressive prosecutors are being blamed for the rise in violent crime in many cities across the country last year.

And Democrats can’t cover up the fact that Target lost $400 million last year to organized retail theft. Overall, retail theft is up more than 26 percent and is closing in on $100 billion a year. Houston – and elsewhere – we got a problem. Walmart is warning it will have to raise prices and close stores, if this keeps up. The CEO specifically blamed progressive prosecutors and their soft-on-crime policies. The violence is so bad in North Philly, a gas station owner hired armed security. Police don’t respond and nobody feels safe, he said. A restaurant in D.C. is closing down because employees are being attacked and their cars are being broken into. The insane Democrats who run the city voted late last year to reduce penalties for illegal gun possession, carjacking, robbery, and other crimes.
Another business closed, this one in Portland, another Democrat city that loves riots. The owner cited “unrelenting criminal behavior” and “escalating safety issues” for employees. “We have no protection, or recourse, against the criminal behavior that goes unpunished,” an open letter posted on the front door said. Here’s the interesting part: You hear these progressive prosecutors and other apologists for high crime say, ‘don’t worry about it, insurance will cover any losses.’ Not true. The owner went on to write: “Do not be fooled into thinking that insurance companies cover losses. We have sustained 15 break-ins … we have not received any financial reimbursement since the 3rd.”
Think about all this the next time the Democrats are flashing you a big smile and asking you to keep them in power. Better yet, take action now. The city council in Roanoke recently asked state lawmakers to undo the Democrats’ woke criminal justice reforms and bring back no-knock warrants, traffic stops for broken tail lights and other minor infractions, and holding suspects without bond for violent offenses. Voters in Democrat-controlled Kansas City, Missouri voted up a constitutional amendment requiring the city to spend more on police.
This is not a situation where reforms swing between competing values on a pendulum. The Democrats threw the pendulum out the window with their woke criminal justice reforms. But this is still America and citizens like you can take action so they can’t turn your life into a war zone.

We’re always looking for ways to poke the COVID-response apologists in their rheumy third eye, and this is a doozy. A pile of global data has been crunched that proves the fearmongers wrong. Almost no one was in grave danger from COVID-19.
I did say almost.
Dr. Robert Malone shared the data on his Substack, which you can sift at your leisure, but this is the sweet spot. Here are your odds of dying from COVID-19 before the introduction of the alleged vaccine* – or (IFR) infection fatality rate.
This says what many (ourselves included) began reporting in March and April 2020. The fear was overblown. Actual cases, hospitalizations, and deaths were not living up to the hype. Almost no one needed anything but time to recover.
Dr. Malone’s piece (worth the read) offers this research in the shadow of the first cause or patient zero of fearmongering and fraud that led the world to ignore what we were seeing once we had actual data. Neil “fearmonger” Ferguson, Ph.D. of Imperial College, with his flawed pandemic modeling
It is the Imperial College models that projected millions of deaths in the first year in the UK, if stringent lockdowns were not implemented. Once implemented, Ferguson and Imperial college quickly took credit for the “success” of lockdowns.
The estimate of 3.1 million lives saved by Dr. Ferguson was derived from a Thoroughly “ludicrous unscientific exercise, whereby they purported to validate their model by using their own hypothetical projections as a counterfactual of what would happen without lockdowns.” Other models and real world data have discredited Ferguson’s models, but the damage was done. Lockdowns, quarantines, masking, poorly-tested EUA products – such as experimental vaccines have taken their toll on all of us. In the end, what, if any of them were necessary?
Several of our writers had been questioning Ferguson’s projections (and political policy based on it) as the US and local data became available in late March to mid-April 2020. But once you go there (15 days to flatten the curve), it’s not easy coming back.
It became as many days as needed to flatten Trump, and the restrictions remained even after the summer riots peaceful protests, with no joy for you unless you were rioting, looting, or burning protesting for the current thing.
As for Ferguson, he still has his apologists. Those who believe lockdowns, masks, and distancing saved lives. But that’s a bit like saying people who’ve never been near the water were protected from the risk of drowning. The threat was always to those over 70, with few exceptions.
The largest burden of COVID-19 is carried by the elderly, and persons living in nursing homes are particularly vulnerable. However, 94% of the global population is younger than 70 years and 86% is younger than 60 years. The objective of this study was to accurately estimate the infection fatality rate (IFR) of COVID-19 among non-elderly people in the absence of vaccination or prior infection.
In systematic searches in SeroTracker and PubMed (protocol: https://osf.io/xvupr), we identified 40 eligible national seroprevalence studies covering 38 countries with pre-vaccination seroprevalence data. For 29 countries (24 high-income, 5 others), publicly available age-stratified COVID-19 death data and age-stratified seroprevalence information were available and were included in the primary analysis.
Scroll back up for another look at those numbers. Then consider that even knowing the elderly are more at risk from flu (they always are), they even screwed that up.
It’s hard to ignore how badly the politicians and public health experts handled the elderly in nursing homes and how they might have done better if those politicized ‘experts’ had stayed out of it. And that’s before we consider all the harm done by the policy decisions themselves (especially to younger people who were never at risk), including the damage still being done by the emergency authorized experimental vaccine*.
And here we are, post-holiday break, with schools masking kids and variant BB11XYZ(whatever)GFY making news and scaring people into the COVID pews.
Thankfully, here in New Hampshire, there’s not much of that, but if we had a Dem governor, they’d be trying, which means we’re always just one election away from more tyranny.

This is the Establishment of a Government religion and we have no choice in the matter. It is also demeaning to girls and women.
It’s clear that these two (until the luggage stealing one on the right got canned for embarrassing Biden (er, by getting hired or getting caught?).
However, these two are the vanguard of the Government that states you WILL believe in our new Scriptures- or else.
So, is participating in this meme part of the “or else” bit? Or am I being sacrilegious by being a heretic/infidel to this new Government theology?

When the canary’s heart stops, it means deadly gases are in the mine. When an unborn’s heart is unnaturally stopped, it means a dark societal force is at work and if not contained, it will destroy everything in its path.

There is no debate regarding the biology of abortion.
Every human started as a fertilized egg, grew inside a uterus, and was brought into the world. Termination of this process results in one less human being. Besides rape and incest {< 1% of pregnancies} all other pregnancies are the result of the voluntary uniting of a male sperm and a female egg and the subsequent implantation of the fertilized egg into a female Uterus. To halt the implanted fertilized egg’s development, except for the physical health of the mother, is tantamount to deciding the evolving life is, for whatever reason, unwanted. And by definition, the unborn life has no say in the decision.
Much of the secular world has reached the point that ending a growing life is accepted by society.
Since the 1973 Roe versus Wade decision, there have been 63 million abortions in America, and Worldwide, 73 million abortions occur annually.
In the progressive Democrat Party, any candidate who is pro-life is not viable. They cannot obtain their party’s nomination because the base of the party believes abortion is a virtuous right to be made available up until the moment before birth. Pathetically, any Democrat who holds an opposing view must hide their true feelings; if they are openly pro-life, they will quickly find they are no longer welcome in their so-called tolerant and inclusive Democrat circles.
Independent voters tend to be mixed about the abortion issue, with most believing abortion is not good and virtuous but necessary in certain situations. Generally, these voters support abortion in the first term, have mixed views in the second, and are opposed to abortion in the third term.
The Republican Christian base will never support and, therefore, dooms a Republican national candidate who is pro-abortion {except in the case of rape, incest, and the mother’s physical health}. The reason is the Bible is clear God knew you in the womb. Therefore, the unborn has a soul, and to extinguish the unborn is murder. (A violation of one of the 10 Commandments).
Christians understand biblical beliefs do not bind secular Americans, but they believe women who had an abortion are in grave spiritual danger. And Christians are called to pray for these women and come alongside those who seek forgiveness for their decision; because the God of the Universe loves them and will forgive them. For without God’s forgiveness, someday these women will stand before their maker, and all the Planned Parenthood “sisters” reasons for having an abortion aren’t going to cut it.
If a GOP politician doesn’t come to grips with the abortion issue:
The recurring nightmare of inconsolable feminists screeching to keep your hands off their bodies — as biased TV pundits report how a GOP candidate is a misogynist and wants women to birth babies even if the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest, probably will become a reality. And progressively controlled social media will amplify the misinformation as it simultaneously suppresses the truth {Think Hunter Biden’s laptop and Elon Musk’s Twitter files}. If a GOP candidate is not prepared for the unfair, biased, progressive-media-complex, they will be shredded, much to the progressive world’s delight.
So, what is an Abortion position that will make a National GOP candidate acceptable to many of the 70% of Americans who favor some variation of abortion access? A pro-life GOP national candidate first needs to understand the ramifications of not being elected. Their progressive opponent will assume office, and all the good that could have been done will never happen. Then the GOP candidate has to acknowledge pregnancies that endanger the mother’s physical health or are the result of rape or incest are special cases and merit different consideration.
Acknowledging these realities, a pro-life Presidential candidate can boldly say, I don’t support abortion, except in the rarest of cases, because I believe the unborn is alive and known to God. I understand that there are many people who do not agree with me, and I believe in the Rule of Law. After the overturning of Roe vs Wade, the abortion issue now legally belongs to the States and through the vote, individual States can make abortion legal or illegal. As President, I will not sign any national legislation in favor of or against abortion. I will mourn the loss of every unborn life and I will pray for the women who have had an abortion.
Any candidate for a national House or Senate seat can use the same constructs with a commitment to allow the States to handle the issue and not work on unneeded and probably unconstitutional national abortion laws.
A few caveats: America is quickly moving away from its Judeo-Christian roots. With America’s constitution as a framework, these roots along with the hard work of competitive capitalism, are the foundation on which the greatest nation the world has ever seen was built. As America loses its Judeo-Christian moral compass and forgets its own great history, the foundation is crumbling.
By 2050 most likely, less than 50% of Americans will identify as Christian, and by 2070, only 39%. At some point during this transition, the Christian base will lose much of its political influence. And as politicians eventually always do, they’ll respond to this new dynamic and no longer champion an unborn’ s life.
Whenever an unborn’ s life is ended, dark forces within our society gain strength. These dark forces are no longer afraid of America’s unique history and the traditional Americans who made our country great. The dark forces have corrupted our youth with lies about America being unjust and have systematically divided America along race and gender lines. Empowered, they have come out in the open and have a name “Woke Progressives,” and if they are not stopped:
It will only be a matter of time before the” Woke” is able to gain a majority on the SCOTUS. The new Court will do what Progressive politicians have been unable to do. Take out the last pillar of America’s foundation and gut the Constitution. They will create new “Woke Rights” and declare that these new rights take precedence over the written Constitution’s Rights of freedom of religion, speech, and the equal protection clause. That action would clear the way for the Progressive’s oppressive socialist dystopia, with the racism of equity and the suppression of free speech/religion as America’s new status quo.
America’s canary in a coal mine is showing signs of distress, but there is still time to act against the dark, woke forces, and there is only one way to do it: Vote!
Because if we don’t, the canary will die, and with it, the American dream!!

Many of us who testified before your committee and dedicated our personal time and research, now feel robbed of a sense of normalcy, transparency, and fairness in your final report.
Which excluded:
In your report: You lean strongly into protecting election officials but fail to ever mention protecting the civil rights and sovereignty of the citizen voter. Town clerks and moderators all have legal protection and representation through their associations paid for by our tax dollars. On the contrary, the citizen voter has no other option than to file a legal challenge in court, at great personal expense. The average citizen breaks the law they are prosecuted, why has the state legislature not the same standard for those who destroy, violate the public trust and their oath of office?

The 2020 Windham election audit recommendations from the independent audit team have yet to be fully enacted under your public guidance, or support to the legislature. Virtually no election official has been prosecuted by the NH DOJ. It is human nature without real penalty, there is no deterrent. (Example one official made #137 verified election violations confirmed by the NH DOJ report in Windham NH in 2020)
In 2021 nearly fifty election bills were brought before the legislature, to the best of my research in committee hearings to which you Mr. Scanlan sadly supported just one.

So this is in response to a post, Promoted from the Comments – A Contrarian View on “Call for Candidates: Run for School Board!” One commentator argues … or at least seems to be arguing … that the proper focus is on school-choice because the political power to take over local school boards AND to then reform the local school district does not exist.
Well … if that political power doesn’t exist locally … not even in “red towns” … then it follows that it does NOT exist statewide. The Democrats have functional control of the House. In 2024, given how rapidly New Hampshire is trending BLUE, they’ll have nominal control and a Democrat Governor … CHRIS PAPPAS.
We are at the high-water mark for school-choice NOW. The only defense … if you intend to remain in BLUE Hampshire … is to balkanize within the State. Move to a red town and make it redder. Eliminate the position of “diversity czar” or whatever euphemism they use for the person whose mission it is to sexualize school-children and teach them to hate Republicans. Fire the Socialist Superintendent.
Other commentators seem to argue that you can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. That is, that it is an either-or choice between school-choice and taking back local school boards. The two are NOT mutually exclusive, but taking back local school boards is the ONLY practical move in this increasingly BLUE State.

The last few years have been checkered with debate about sexually oriented books found in many elementary, middle, and high school libraries. These books have probably been on the shelves for years. But COVID uncovered a great deal about what our children are exposed to in their classrooms.
The debate has turned to conflict between parents and educators regarding who is responsible for a child’s education. You would think that is a simple question, but not so fast. Educators, including teachers, administrators, school boards, and even the unions, believe it is their job and that parents deserve no input. As you can imagine, this is not settling well with parents.
Some of the topics covered in class, even in elementary schools, are Critical Race Theory, LGBTQ+ issues, and Transgender options. These subjects do not belong in schools, and teachers should not be counseling students on sensitive personal matters, like which gender they should be. The books are also far too graphic for young eyes who cannot grasp the subject matter. This preface brings us to this week’s Spotlight.
This week’s Spotlight is an actor, evangelist, father, husband, author, and filmmaker. He can now add activist to his list of accomplishments. Kirk Cameron is battling with libraries around the country who are not willing to allow Cameron to hold readings of his new book in their buildings. These libraries have no issue with offering LGBTQ and Trans topics for their avid readers but feel a need to protect the public from the evil of a book like “As You Grow.” What a warped sense of right, wrong, or decency.
So far, over fifty libraries have denied requests from Cameron to allow him space and time to read his new book, “As You Grow,” to parents and children. Follow Sky Tree’s journey from a tiny acorn to a mighty tree that provides shade, sustenance, and lodging! “As You Grow” is a fun story with brilliant art that teaches the Biblical truths of the Fruit of the Spirit.’ The problem with this book for the Progressives is it promotes Christianity and living a good and wholesome existence. The Left sees this as dangerous and, may I say it, existential. They find it more palatable to promote drag queens and child mutilation. These topics to them are much more inclusive.
It all backfired when one library bent to pressure and reversed its original decision. The Indianapolis Public Library allowed Cameron to present his work, and he did so to a record-setting capacity audience of over 2,500 parents and children. No event, including the drag queens, ever drew such a crowd. The scene repeated itself in New York, and more libraries are following suit.
The people are speaking up, and institutions are forced to listen up. We may find that this WOKE movement, driven by a loud minority, will have a short life. I believe this LGBTQ lifestyle and the urge to reassign gender are caused by social pressure and are not a product of genes. What we need are more brave people, like Kirk Cameron, to shine a light on traditional values and have strong parental teams to resist social pressure and let their heads and guts lead them

It never seems to end – the Cultural Marxism at play in sexualizing our children (along with other social issues). ALL of it can be traced back to Class Struggle/Warfare – putting one class of people against another. Classic Marxism was based on economics but it failed here in America because, well, the middle class was already pretty well off. So, they took the “general case” (class, struggle) and used other classes. After all, it is ALWAYS easy to make one Class the Oppressor (the capitalists) and another the Oppressed (the workers). Now, change that to Race and the Marxists took off to the races again. Ditto religion: the majority American religion has historically been Christian so make them the Oppressors as well – at the same time. Now, add in sexuality for a third front.
Then aim those tactics and techniques at those most vulnerable to such indoctrination, K-12 kids (and throw in pre-schoolers as well) AND a fourth front – Parents are your Oppressors (while we, your teachers, love you more and are your best buddies and will save you from your Parents). So let’s start off with another one as it just seems that Government is establishing two religions, contra the First Amendment, in order to “save” us and shepherd to their Nirvana. After all, it is clear that Sex is the new Governmental religion Brand A (the Libertine sect with Brand B the Calvinist one of “thou shalt live without energy or food we don’t allow). WHY is the CDC, who couldn’t get it’s main mission right with WuFlu, decided to extend its mission to evangelize Government Religion Brand A? As always, some reformatting and most emphasis is mine:

So much for Parental Authority in this. Oh Wait – isn’t that the mission of many school systems – to become the permanent ersatz parents instead of the parents in teaching sexual morality and such?
The division also apparently endeavors to help schools stay engaged in LGBT activism and up to date with social constructivist terminology. DASH has repeatedly pushed an October 2020 document entitled, “LGBTQ Inclusivity in Schools: A Self-Assessment Tool,” on teachers and school administrators alike. Most recently, DASH tweeted on Dec. 27, “School administrators: Our LGBTQ inclusivity self-assessment tool can help you quickly gauge inclusivity at your school. See your score today and learn ways to increase inclusivity,” with a link to the document.
The purpose of the self-assessment is to approximate how close to conformity a teacher, classroom, or school is with the LGBT dogmas of the day.
Is this a Proper Role of Government? I think know not. What I DO know is that when local Parents get involved because of the above being foisted up their children, they can make a difference. And if you ever thought that ONE person can make a difference, here’s a story that outlines that getting behind and getting ONE more person elected matters. Day one by one vote:
Located to the southeast of Los Angeles, the Temecula Valley School District previously followed other woke educational groups and began teaching critical race theory. That was apparently a bridge too far for the parents in the district. Working with the Inland Empire Family PAC, three new board members were recently elected after running on a “pro-parental rights” platform. Those new members were sworn in this week, building a 3-2 majority on the board. Immediately upon being seated, the new majority voted to ban CRT from being taught in the district. The sweeping measure blasted CRT as being a true example of racism and rejected all of its basic tenets. This is a hopeful sign in a season of madness and woke ideologies. (Daily Wire)
A California school district voted this week to ban Critical Race Theory from being taught in its schools.
In a 3-2 vote, the Temecula Valley Unified School District in southern California voted to ban schools from teaching CRT. The vote came at the end of a marathon session on Tuesday night that ran into the wee hours of Wednesday morning; a new conservative majority had just been sworn in at the beginning of the meeting.
“The TVUSD desires to uplift and unite students by not imposing the responsibility of historical transgressions in the past and instead will engage students of all cultures in age-appropriate critical thinking that helps students navigate the past, present, and future,” the resolution banning CRT stated.
The resolution declares that CRT is based on an “artificial distortion of the traditional definition of ‘racism.’” It points out that CRT is racist in and of itself, targeting white students based on the color of their skin rather than the content of their character. The school rejects the idea that one subset of students who are still children should be made to feel shame or bear responsibility for the actions of people from previous generations that took place long before they were born.
And another Good Story but at the College Level – Free Speech upheld. The problem that we ALL should recognize is that a specific policy had to be issued instead of being the assumed default by EVERY one. Massachusetts Institute of Technology faculty have adopted a resolution that defends freedom of speech and expression — even speech some find “offensive or injurious.” The “Free Expression Statement,” approved by the faculty senate Dec. 21, states that “Learning from a diversity of viewpoints, and from the deliberation, debate, and dissent that accompany them, are essential ingredients of academic excellence.”
The statement was approved by a vote of 98 to 52, a source close to MIT told The College Fix.
“We cannot prohibit speech that some experience as offensive or injurious,” the statement reads.
But as Glenn Reynolds noted: “It wasn’t close, but it should have been less-close.” What the is wrong with those 52?? The Left is always talking about “Dangers to our Democracy”. The Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia, has come under intense scrutiny and fire after it was revealed that the school had intentionally delayed notifying students of national academic honors in the name of “equity.”
…“This year the entire controversy just blew up because the kids got their certificate, weeks after early college application deadlines, just dropped on their desks as if it was just another piece of paper,” Nomani said.
So to briefly recap: In the name of “equity” (ensuring that every child is equally kneecapped), Thomas Jefferson High School decided that if one child can’t boost his/her college application chances with an academic award, then no students should be able to.
…“The school wanted to recognize students as individuals, not their achievements, as if the two had to be separated,” she said. What, pray tell, is up with the demonizing of individual accomplishment as a bad thing?
After all, all the smarter/hard working students are OPPRESSING those that aren’t as equal in academic horsepower and/or work ethic. “War on Merit“.
And a “War on Normalty” – start with preschoolers and teach them to cross-dress with a purpose!
A school district that gave preschoolers a book on cross-dressing has changed its procedures for giving out books after news of the incident surfaced late last month. As first reported exclusively by The Lion and The Heartlander news sites, a 4-year-old preschooler in the Turner School District in Kansas City, Kansas, took home the book “Jacob’s New Dress.” It’s a picture book in which a little boy wears girls’ clothes and even competes with his friend Emily to be a princess.
“I don’t think this should be, obviously, any kind of a subject for a school to be speaking about,” Jim Clay, the 4-year-old’s grandfather, told The Lion. “The sexualization of our children in society today is just disgusting. The grooming that’s taking place is disgusting.”
Clay reported the Turner district had explained what happened and what changes will be made to prevent such a sexually provocative book from being tendered to young children there again.
…“Moving forward, our district staff will be preapproving all books and activities provided by Literacy KC to ensure they are age-appropriate and align with our district curriculum and educational mission,” the statement concluded—notably, without apology to offended parents and guardians.
Case closed? Maybe, maybe not.
“This past spring we learned State Farm was distributing transgender books in Florida,” says Mary Miller, an Oregon-based parents’ rights advocate who spoke about the cultural divide between parents and schools in Kansas City at a community forum in June.

Mattel, the massive corporation that owns Barbie, Fisher-Price, Hot Wheels, American Girl, and several other iconic toy companies, is promoting transgender ideology to children through its products. The brand has introduced several transgender-themed products aimed at a child audience in recent years, including a recent book about boy image that included a section encouraging gender transitions for girls with body image issues. Mattel has been praised by LGBT activists and boasted of its LGBT inclusion efforts.
“Our most recent example is UNO’s new Play with Pride deck, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community and includes a donation to the It Gets Better Project in honor of Pride Month. And there are many more.” Mattel came under fire most recently for an American Girl book aimed at young girls that promoted gender transitions without parental consent and encouraged girls to stifle any discomfort they felt about males using women’s restrooms.

He attends Leander High School and I’m going to explain to you the book that he received but Mr. McKay, I pray you are a man of your word. Last week I asked my children if I could check the books that they’ve picked up from the school. My son picked up this brand new book from the shelves in class, “Lawn Boy”. He was under the impression it was about a kid that ends up with a gig mowing the grass at Disneyland. I’d like to share a few quotes with you.
On page 19, “Not that it really matters, in fourth grade at a church youth group meeting out in the bushes, I touched Doug Goebbels d*ck, and he touched mine. In fact, there was even some mouths involved.” Next one, page 91, “What if I told you I touched another guy’s d*ck? What if I told you I sucked it? I was 10 years old, but it’s true. And let’s get to the nub of the problem – those that believe that Parents just AREN’T relevant but should be MADE to be irrelevant:
In internet lingo, to “say the quiet part out loud” means to reveal one’s true intentions or motives that were supposed to remain publicly unsaid. Recently, a couple of prominent organizations that deal with children have “said the quiet part out loud” when talking about parental rights.
The first was the National Education Association, which has a long history of advocating extreme, sexually progressive ideology in schools, such as, for instance, advising teachers to hide transgender students’ name and pronoun changes from parents. In November, the NEA tweeted:
“Educators love their students and know better than anyone what they need to learn and thrive.”
Hmm. Could they be overlooking anyone? Such as, I don’t know, students’ parents? It’s as if any right that parents have to be involved and aware of their children’s education ends at the ability of progressive teachers to shepherd their students into alternative lifestyles, sexual practices, and abortions.
Speaking of abortion, another group that deals with vulnerable children and teens also recently said the quiet part out loud. Parental rights advocate Megan Brock tweeted a clip from a video conference by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Policy Lab. In it, Dr. Sarah Wood explained the group’s strategy for circumventing Pennsylvania’s parental notification law for minors seeking abortions.
According to Dr. Wood, “the ideal state” would be to repeal parental notification laws so that doctors can refer teens for abortions privately. Until then, she proposed, there should be a “designated navigator process” to help shepherd pregnant teens through a judicial bypass, so parents never have to know. According to Wood, this can prevent “physical, emotional, and financial harm” young women might otherwise suffer at the hands of their families. Ultimately, she explained, the goal of policymakers and physicians should be “expanding this idea of a parent, to being a trusted or supportive adult, so that it’s not a tie of biology…”
I keep seeing/hearing this all the time: “if we just didn’t have to deal with Parents…THEY are the criminals in all this and certainly DON’T love their kids”. Shades of NH Dem Party Chair Ray Buckley exclaiming “…some kids will be kicked out or beaten (to death) or commit suicide.” when talking about Parents and their transgender children.
According to our Public Servants, Parents are just plain evil. Just like students that may not understand what Free Speech really is and acts ignorantly because of it:
The vice president of the University of Illinois Student Government, or ISG, has tendered her resignation because the school will not “take a stand and prohibit hate speech.”
Vindhya Kalipi, a junior studying political science and statistics, made that point in a student government Instagram post put up on October 10. Kalipi was not pleased about the appearance of Matt Walsh on his “What is a Woman?” tour at which he said challenging transgender ideology is “the hill he is ‘willing to die on’” and that gender transitioning is “castrating” children. In its statement, the ISG said Walsh’s remarks were “hateful,” “wrong” and “induce[d] pain for many people.”
It also noted that given her beliefs, Kalipi (pictured) “talked to administrators and looked through existing laws and regulations” to ultimately discover there is no First Amendment exception for “hate speech.”
Right. An American political science major not understanding the US Constitution and its Bill of Rights? That Free Speech is all but absolute when it comes to expressing opinion even if you consider it “offensive” and hateful? ESPECIALLY, those two categories are protected? So who indoctrinated her into thinking this way.

Democrats Aren’t Fooling Anyone With Their Lies About Indoctrinating Children
Progressives who support the grooming and indoctrination taking place in America’s schools are often fond of trying to gaslight the nation into believing it isn’t happening. They pretend far-leftist ideas on race, sexuality, and gender identity are not being presented to small children. No matter how many news reports surface showing that school districts are pushing ideas inspired by critical race theory and helping children transition to the opposite gender without their parent’s knowledge or consent, they continue to assure that there is nothing to see here. But a recent poll shows that Americans are not falling for their lies.
A brand new Washington Examiner/YouGov survey revealed that most adults know that public K-12 schools are infusing so-called progressive ideas into their curricula and are not happy about it. From the report:
Fifty-eight percent of respondents, including 51% of Democrats, agreed schools are teaching students what to believe regarding race. And 50%, including 40% of Democrats and 49% of independents, agreed schools are teaching students to adopt certain views on sexuality and gender.
Even further, the report notes that “an overwhelming majority of U.S. adults believe schools should not be forcing these views onto children in any way.” According to the study, 68 percent of participants said schools should teach that America has a complicated history with “good and bad aspects” instead of the radical “America sucks” curriculum with which progressives seek to indoctrinate students. Additionally, most respondents said they opposed teachings about gender identity and sexual orientation until high school.

Metro Atlanta School District Sneakily Includes Gender Propaganda on School-Issued Devices
Even as parents have begun to make strides in exposing and reversing the trend of radical gender theory education in schools, educators are finding ways to sneak in the propaganda in ways that parents can’t easily discover. The latest example of that is taking place just outside of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. This is the largest school district in Georgia and the same one that brought us the infamous school board president Dr. Tarece Williams, who posts bizarre TikTok videos and promotes divisive racial ideology. Gwinnett Schools are now adding gender propaganda to the mix with what one group calls “inappropriate gender lessons” on school-issued Chromebooks that parents can’t access when logging into their children’s accounts on other devices.
Holly Terei, the Gwinnett County chapter president of No Left Turn in Education, discovered the objectionable content on the Chromebook that the school issued to her child.
“One ebook on the fourth grade page claims that gender is a social construct ‘not based on anything biological or medical,’” explains the press release from No Left Turn in Education. “It dismisses the differences between men and women as figments of societal imagination.”
…“Gwinnett County Schools are pushing gender lessons on kids and hiding it from their parents,” Terei said in No Left Turn’s statement. “This is a brazen attempt to supplant the role of parents in their children’s lives. Nothing in the content is educational. It does not serve students; it serves the political goals of bureaucrats.”

Yesterday I mentioned Vermont and its habit of making New Hampshire more desirable but let’s not forget Massachusetts, a leader in advancing the New Hampshire Advantage. Effective January first, it is enforcing a new tax on millionaires that could benefit the Granite State.

“Question 1 is set to raise taxes starting this Sunday, and for many small business owners, retirees, home (sellers), and high-income earners, they will be shocked to see their taxes go up by 80 percent,” Paul Diego Craney, a spokesperson for Massachusetts Fiscal Alliance, said in an emailed statement.
January 1 wasn’t just the first day of the year, it was also the start of the 2023 tax season, during which any dollar made over $1 million will be taxed an extra 4% above the state’s flat 5% income tax rate.
Advocates promoted it as an equalizer, and since this is Massachusetts, no one ever considered lowering everyone else’s taxes to create the advertised perception. Make them pay more by taking less from you. Put that question before the people, and I bet it passes too. It will never happen in a tax and spend haven like The Bay State. The problem is finding revenue to meet their uncontrollable addiction to spending.
You sell it as a wealth tax and then sweep up retirees hoping to sell their homes to prop up their retirement. Small business owners get pinched, which suppresses their ability to create jobs (to which we can include the added weight of the MA J1 hike in the mandatory minimum wage). The obscenely rich, like the Kennedys and Kerrys, will effortlessly loophole and tax code their way around this the way Trump has if you’ve seen his taxes.
They wrote the tax code like every other law. If you can afford enough lawyers or experts to help you navigate, it has little or no effect on those with true wealth. Those who will be affected can look north to New Hampshire.
Sure, we have that interest and dividends tax, which is also a weight on retirees, and we’re not “tax-free,” but we’re a lot more tax-friendly. The total tax burden is consistently lower nationwide than most states and all of the New England states, despite my Massachusetts relatives pretending that can’t be true. The net result is a gross incentive to move your assets into the Granite State.
As with the Vermonter who leaps the Connecticut river for greener pastures, you must leave your voting history behind if you come across the Merrimack. Our Democrats are like yours. At least a few of them were yours. But they didn’t come here to escape tax and regulatory tyranny. They came to infect us with it and milk the Granite State dry just like Dems have in Massachusetts and Vermont (and increasingly, Maine).
Places where equalizing a tax burden or creating an incentive will never mean lowering or eliminating taxes—quite the opposite.
Because they don’t care about equality, they only care about spending other people’s money, and there is never enough of that.

The beginning of a New Year is like Christmas Day for Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and the Progressives, who must have been giddy with anticipation. January 1, is the signing day of head-shaking bills in California.
If “as goes California, so goes the country” is correct. God save us all.
Newsom signed five WOKE new laws into effect. The signing ceremony is a New Year’s Day tradition in California, where common sense and sound governing have retired long ago. California is the land of homeless encampments, proposed reparations for black descendants of slaves, sanctuary cities, and no cash bail. California has become a dangerous and expensive state leading to an exodus of people and businesses. That is not a concern of Progressives. Let’s take a look at the five new bills of 2023.
The first was passed in September but takes effect today. SB107 makes California a sanctuary state for transgender kids. It will protect the use of drugs or surgery to provide “gender-affirming care” to kids who travel to California from states that have restricted allowing minors to receive the life-alternating surgery.
Sen. Scott Weiner (D-Calif) said that the bill offers “refuge” to trans minors and their families “if they’re being criminalized in their home states.”
We know from the midterms how important abortion rights are to Democrats. SB 1375 will allow nurses to perform abortions without the help of a medical licensed doctor, which was passed alongside a referendum guaranteeing the right to abortion and contraception.
Under the new law, nurses will be able to perform the procedure without a doctor supervising in the first trimester of pregnancy.
The third law that goes into effect on the first, is a Covid misinformation law. Signed in September, the law will require medical licensing boards in the state of California to take disciplinary action against doctors who are involved with the “dissemination of misinformation or disinformation related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, or ‘COVID-19’. It is apparently up to the state to determine fact or fiction.
Additionally, Newsom signed a law that decriminalizes jaywalking because of “racism.” Titled “Freedom to Walk Act,” the law will prevent law enforcement from stopping people who are crossing the street not at a crosswalk unless they are in visible danger. The law claims that jaywalking is a racist crime because it is enforced unfairly in “communities of color” where people apparently cannot afford to pay the fines.
The fifth law, which is currently on hold by the courts, is state control of fast-food restaurants. The law would create a ten-member politburo, aka the Fast Food Council, which would serve for ten years,” allowing them to set wages and working conditions for the fast food industry. After a group of restaurants collected petition signatures against the law sued, the law was put on hold.
None of these laws serve the needs of the majority of California residents. They cater to special interest groups or strengthen government power over people. These actions by Gavin Newsom have to be broadcast loud and clear. Newsom is considered one of the front-runners for 2024 should Biden not run. Whether as Mayor of San Francisco or Governor of California, he has proven himself to be a highly Progressive politician and would be a detriment to the country if he gets near the Oval Office. We have to ensure he gets nowhere near D.C.

Unlike NH-NeverTrumpJournal, I don’t “spin,” which is a lovely euphemism for LIE. The biggest political loser of 2022 was … Donald J. Trump. Here’s why.
The FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago is the 2022 equivalent of the Russia-hoax, and just as the Russia-hoax was a black-cloud over the Trump Presidency, the Mar-a-Lago-hoax will be a black-cloud over Trump’s campaign for the Presidency. And just as the Russia-hoax would not have been possible … or at a minimum effective … without the complicity of Mitch McConnell and the faux-Republicans in the U.S. Senate, so too Mar-a-Lago needs and has received the same complicity. For example, faux-conservative Tim Scott told FakeNews CBS, “[w]e need to let this play out and see exactly what happens … ”
Additionally, Mitch and his faux-Republican allies beat Trump in the midterms. They wanted the Trump-backed candidates to lose … even at the price of remaining in the Senate minority … and they succeeded. As General Patton said, “America loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser:

Honorable Senator Cruz,
I am writing to you, the distinguished member of the United States Senate and my Senator to plead with you to stand with the valiant Iranian women, men, and children in their quest for freedom and equality.
Senator Cruz, as you know well, it has been more than four decades that President after President attempted to negotiate with the conniving Mullahs hoping that they would abandon their nuclear ambitions. Even former President Obama offered them a handsome olive branch. Well, to be clear, the Islamic Republic of Iran never stopped its ambition to develop the means to advance a nuclear delivery system. Simply reinstating the JCPOA, as President Biden wants, would allow Iran to legitimately expand its nuclear program and procure advanced weapons.
On top of that, reports that the Islamic Republic state has sentenced approximately 15,000 people to death for participating in the now three months of protests in the country have circulated widely on social media and in the news.

In short, thank you for hearing and supporting the freedom-loving voices of Iranians who despise the rule of unelected clerics and wish to end their reign of terror and mischief.

This was a close call. Let’s start with the runner-up … poor, poor, pitiful Chuck Morse. For a while, it looked like the political stars were going to align perfectly for Chuck.
Sun-King Sununu would run for the U.S. Senate and Chuck would step up and run for Governor, an office Chuck was far, far more suited for than the U.S. Senate.
But, alas, it was not to be. Sun-King decided it was too much work to fundraise and realized he was far too thin-skinned to take the hits … i.e., all those “abortion-ban” ads worked … and took the coward’s way out and instead ran for a fourth term as Governor.
But poor, poor, pitiful Chuck’s problems were just starting. Chuck … or more precisely, Chuck’s crack consultants … ran a campaign straight out of the 1980s. Hey … let’s have Chuck drive a snowplow and mumble platitudes about low taxes and limited government … it worked for George Bush in 1988! And for months while Bolduc maintained a commanding lead in the polls, Sun-King Sununu just sat on the sidelines, not campaigning for Chuck, not even endorsing Chuck. By the time Sun-King finally endorsed poor, poor, pitiful Chuck it was far too late to make a difference.
And so now Chuck’s political career is over. There is no way … NO WAY … he beats Chris Pappas in the 2024 gubernatorial election. So let’s wish poor, poor, pitiful Chuck happy-lobbying and move on to the winner of biggest local-loser.
2024 was the most favorable political macro-environment for the GOP since 2010, when they won an astonishing 298 seats. Yet the House GOP managed to lose … to LOSE … seats:
Indeed, they nearly succeeded in losing control of the House. Actually, given the number of RINOS the Democrats probably do have functional control of the House.
There can be no question, therefore, that the biggest political loser of 2022 is Jason Osborne, the Majority Leader. The man did the seemingly impossible. He led the House GOP to defeat in a year that political defeat for the GOP in a supposedly “purple” State seemed impossible.
