Tell Me Again Joe, Which Wars Are Good Wars?

Fri, 2023-09-22 13:30 +0000

Are you good with spending U.S. tax dollars for drone strikes in Sudan? There was a specialized drone operated in the African country of Sudan. It turns out that Special Forces from Ukraine might be the ones pulling the trigger on those strikes.

We want to thank Marc Abear for this Contribution – Please direct yours to Editor@GraniteGrok.com.
You can review our ‘Op-Ed Guidelines‘ on the FAQ Page.

A drone that has been seen frequently in Ukraine but not outside that theater of war. Well, not up until now. CNN is reporting those drones were actually operated by Ukrainians in Sudan.  Yes, Ukrainians are operating killer drones in Sudan. And why would they do that?

They want to target the Russian paramilitary operation operating in Sudan called the Wagner Group. The Wagner Group operates in African countries like Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Sudan.  Wagner agrees to provide military services to these countries, and in exchange, Wagner gets gold, diamonds, oil, and some cash.

The Ukrainians are rumored to be taking their fight against those Russians. If they can bog down the Wagner Group or the Russians in Africa, then Moscow might have to send more fighters there instead of sending them to the front lines in Ukraine.

CNN has some great video of Ukrainian racing drones blowing up some of Wagner’s allies in Sudan. The dead are part of a rebel group called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The Sudanese Army originally took credit for those drone strikes on some RSF positions, but we now have a bit more color to the story. Maybe the credit should be spread around a little bit to include some Ukrainian Special Forces operators.

What does that mean, and why should we care? The War in Ukraine just took a very interesting and dangerous turn as Ukrainian President Zelensky is traveling to New York and Washington DC.

He spoke yesterday at the United Nations. Today and tomorrow, he will meet with Biden and Congress. He’s expected to ask for another $24B on top of the $66B we have already given to him. This is all deficit spending.

So what do you think? Should we be doing more deficit spending for a proxy war with Russia in Africa? What do you think the Mayor of New York and the Governor of Massachusetts have to say about this? We have an open border and have welcomed over 7 million illegals, whom we cannot afford to house, feed, clothe, educate, and provide healthcare.

We cannot take care of the people here… in America. And we are spending tens of billions in Ukraine at a clip? …So they can expand the Biden proxy war from Ukraine to Africa? Hey, just asking… Common sense says this is questionable decision-making. Tell me again, Joe, why did we get out of Afghanistan?

Dr. Janci Lindsey on COVID Vaccines – “You Could Be a Perpetual Spike Factory…”

Fri, 2023-09-22 12:00 +0000

You have probably heard by now that those COVID injections, the boosters, the bivalents, and likely the new and not-at-all-improved Jab 2023 have some unpleasant side effects (that’s sarcasm).

Pain at the injection site, sudden heart failure, dropping dead. There are a few hundred more in between, but these truths still feel like they’ve failed to reach escape velocity.

Tens of thousands of pages have been pried from Pfizer and the Pfeds, but with an ongoing media blackout, the folks who think they can still eke out some unbiased reporting from the government-captured media are unaware. Newsflash. Not reporting is biased, too.

We do what we can, providing alternative opinions, research, and science. Today’s installment is a video from a South Carolina Senate hearing. The speaker is Dr. Janci Lindsay (don’t stop me if you’ve seen it). She has some things to say about vaccine safety signals (deaths, hello!), human trials, contaminated vaccines (plasmids), bait-and-switch injection, latent cancers from DNA treatments (like the mRNA), and how your gut could become a perpetual spike (protein) factory if you got the thing, and why that’s never good news.

Coming from a medical expert whom I can only assume has since been punished for daring to question the Public Health Industrial Complex, we felt it was news you could use to keep the dream alive. The one where, through brute force, expert testimony eventually breaks through someone’s wall of separation between the narrative and the truth. A light goes on. They begin to question the government’s message and motives, which, like a virus, spreads to other issues and actions until everything is suspect.

The duty, the obligation, to question authority. You never know what will get someone started on that path.

Start at one minute and forty seconds. You can hear here after that (and won’t miss anything vital), so jump there to 1:40 to get started.

Threats Against the State: Anarcho-Tyranny, Murder, and Legitimacy

Fri, 2023-09-22 10:30 +0000

On August 9, the Federal Bureau of Investigation killed Craig Robertson, a seventy-four-year-old Utah man, during a raid on his home.

The man had posted numerous online threats, saying he wanted several state officials dead and had the means to make that happen. The authorities took his declarations at face value, although he was a near octogenarian dependent upon a cane to walk and was described as being “frail of health” by his neighbors.

Something is off and for a variety of reasons. First, if this man really was a great threat to the life of multiple officials, as the state believed, why was he not addressed earlier? After all, there were a variety of threats against multiple people that are now being deemed “credible” to justify the state’s actions, so why was he only addressed now? One might respond with the fact that President Joe Biden was going to be speaking a mere hour away from the man’s residence in Salt Lake City, whereas he hadn’t been there before. Even if we were to assume that this justifies a raid on a disabled, unhealthy seventy-four-year-old, the question still remains: why now? Jill Biden visited Salt Lake City in 2021, only a few months after the infamous desecration of democracy on January 6, and the “threat” was deemed acceptable, evidenced by the fact that the man remained alive for a couple more years. Moreover, some of the threats were against Gavin Newsom, who resided just a day’s drive away from Mr. Robertson. If we are to assume, as the state did, that Robertson would somehow surmount his physical impairments to carry out some plot, a few hours of travel to reach Newsom would not be much more than the hour of travel it would’ve taken for him to even get near Biden during his Salt Lake City visit.

To summarize the issue that many people, including the man’s neighbors, found immediately, Robertson’s threats were unactionable and unserious. So why was he targeted and killed? He had spoken in this grandiose manner for a while, and no one thought that any of it was credible. A defender of the state’s action might point out here that he broke a law by threatening the president.

Robertson is far from the only boomer to issue these threats online. In fact, anyone who has spent even a cursory amount of time in conversation with a very political American above the age of sixty has probably heard threats directed at all sorts of politicians and officials. One could easily go looking for that demographic (and younger) on any social media platform and find threats in abundance. Actually, one could find a series of high-profile threats, also issued against presidents, by individuals much more able to execute a plot.

So why was Robertson targeted by the state while actionable (or potentially actionable) threats go unanswered? Asking a similar question, why those present for the January 6 demonstrations got the harshest application of the law possible while rioters in 2020 largely went unpunished, yields the same answer. Robertson and the majority of the protestors on January 6 were normal people who otherwise had not done anything wrong. The persecution of both began just after major violations of the same laws had taken place by much more destructive or much more able people who had escaped punishment. The state selectively enforced its laws for two reasons.

The first reason lies in a concept known as anarchotyranny, or at least part of it. As a matter of efficiency, it is easier for the state to ignore larger, more violent lawbreakers in favor of harshly patrolling normal people. Taking on the greater lawbreakers would require a will that most, if not all, appendages of the state do not currently possess, fancifully assuming that they would even want that will to begin with. Tackling those worse offenders would also require a larger expenditure of resources while facing a greater chance of casualty. It is simply much safer and more profitable to target a disabled seventy-four-year-old in a quiet town or a bunch of normal people who showed up once at the Capitol for a protest than it is to equally enforce the law on wealthy and connected celebrities or rioters with a history of violence.

The second reason lies in narratives and their effect on the legitimacy of the state. Large swathes of the media in the United States, alongside various parts of the state and academia, have been crafting and operating under a narrative that yokel red staters with guns and unmoderated peasants sharing their opinions on social media are out to destroy American democracy. Though it has been long in the making, this narrative intensified around the 2016 election, again in the interim and 2020 election, and then became dominant after January 6, 2021. The narrative is very powerful, being as it is the state’s direct refutation against the populism that menaces it so. If populism can be defeated in this manner of brute media force, selective legal penalties, and crass academic reinterpretation, the state as it currently exists can freely keep expanding and enriching its own at the expense of normal people.

How does this narrative, or any narrative for that matter, help the state? The narrative strengthens the most critical factor of the state’s existence: legitimacy. As Murray Rothbard puts it, “Thus, ideological support being vital to the State, it must unceasingly try to impress the public with its ‘legitimacy,’ to distinguish its activities from those of mere brigands.” This is the case because

in order to continue in office, any government . . . must have the support of the majority of its subjects. This support . . . need not be active enthusiasm; it may well be passive resignation as if to an inevitable law of nature. But support in the sense of acceptance of some sort it must be; else the minority of State rulers would eventually be outweighed by the active resistance of the majority of the public.

The state works to justify its existence in the minds of enough of the population, securing its legitimacy by crafting narratives. In the narratives mentioned above, like the red staters destroying American democracy, the state’s existence is justified because it must defend democracy and its supporters from those backward red staters and dangerous seventy-four-year-olds. If a demonstration at the Capitol needs to be dispersed or a Trumpist Republican needs to be shot in his home to do this, all the better. By dispersing the protestors or shooting the man, the state is fulfilling its function under the given narrative and further justifying its existence. After all, what if the state and its operators hadn’t been there to vigilantly protect the sacred temples of American democracy and its loyal adherents?

As for Robertson, whether the man’s threats were serious or actionable has no bearing on the reasoning of the state and its foot soldiers. The man did not believe in the current state’s legitimacy, and he was vocal about it. According to the state’s narrative, people who do not believe in the legitimacy of the current state are hardly people; they are dangerous, unsound, and usually evil. “Having” to kill someone in that category may, to the state, be unfortunate, but the benefit it provides in the form of strengthening the narrative and bolstering the state’s legitimacy is very valuable.

At least, that’s how it works in theory. While the narrative against the red staters was strengthened, with every major media organization rearticulating it in some form when running the story, whether the population still accepts the narrative is a different issue. Social media websites like Twitter saw widespread outrage at the occurrence, even from people who normally support the state and its current leaders.

General outrage and the desynchronization of the population from the state’s narrative is where our hope lies. If in the pursuit of reinforcing its position, the state makes itself increasingly illegitimate in the minds of the public, then the state is at its weakest. Any mistakes and miscalculations on the part of the state, like the killing of a normal person in his own home not playing well with the public, must be ruthlessly punished by opponents of the state. In doing so, the opponents of the state will assist in dispelling the state’s legitimacy from the minds of more and more of the population, paving the way for the eventual destruction of the state and the reclamation of liberty that it once extinguished.

China, Russia, And NOKO Play King Of The Hill

Fri, 2023-09-22 01:30 +0000

China, Russia, and North Korea are acting like a bunch of adolescent thugs. They are playing each other, looking for attention, and seeking relevance in this game of world dominance. Xi meets with Putin while snubbing Kim, and Kim and Putin get together while dissing Xi.

It would be a game of international chess if their intentions were not so obvious. It is more like Mousetrap, but the stakes are too high. These three narcissists are posturing for superpower status and flexing their arsenals like testosterone-filled teenagers. Unfortunately, we watch this charade while our military machine is aging and depleting as we abandon equipment worth billions in Afghanistan or ship them to Ukraine. We are not investing in new technology, and recruiting is a problem in every branch. Our Navy, our strength over China and Russia, is at its lowest ship count in decades. The push by the current Administration to have a more Woke military has driven down morale and enlistment. We are not ready for conflict, and that is where you never want to be.

Some say it is a sign of desperation that Putin and Kim are meeting and Russia is looking to buy munitions from North Korea. What NOKO has is old and outdated but may be adequate for Russia to use against Ukraine. Also, North Korea needs money and food, two things Russia can supply. The other thing that Russia will supply North Korea is missiles and possibly submarines. This should make most of the world uneasy.

While the three adversaries are meeting, Biden and Xi have not spoken in months. Supposedly, the two have not spoken since the Chinese Spy Balloon fiasco in February. Biden continues to brag about the strength of their relationship, but to not talk in seven months indicates a chill has cooled their ties. Biden has sent underlings like Blinken and Yellen for talks, but nobody has had time with Xi. We were warned about the weakness of Biden’s international diplomacy, and this is a signal those warnings had merit.

Biden always claims his talks with any other country, especially our foes, include discussions on human rights. Never has Biden, or any of his Administration, broached the subject of the Uygurs with Xi or any of his staff. Millions are kept in camps or have been killed, and the issue is too sensitive for Biden to touch. Joe also elaborated at great length while in Vietnam how he wants China to succeed as a country and economy. He feels a strong China is good for the world. As Robert Gates, former defense secretary in the Obama administration, once said, Biden has “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Gates knows Joe Biden.

At the same time all this is happening, Biden is trading prisoners with Iran and unfreezing $6 Billion for Iran to use for humanitarian purposes. Right. Iran has already said the money is theirs and will use it as they see fit. It is another lousy decision that weakens America and puts a price on every American’s head who travels abroad.

What Biden has done to harm and divide the country at home, combined with his horrendous track record on the international stage, gives us a one-two punch that will take years to correct. Fortunately, most of his decisions have been enacted by executive order and not by legislation, so they can be changed quickly once we have a Conservative President in office. The question is, can we last long enough to make those changes?

Hilarity Ensues at Board of Ed Hearing on PragerU Videos

Fri, 2023-09-22 00:00 +0000

Quite a ruckus broke out at the Board of Education hearing last week. Controversy exploded over personal finance videos created for high school students. The videos were nonetheless unanimously approved by the NH Board of Education. Who knew “compound interest” could be so exciting?

Related: Help New Hampshire Support Its Student’s Financial Literacy

Dennis Prager’s “PragerU” produced the videos, available HERE.

The Board simply wanted to determine whether the short, cleverly-produced series could be included in their “Learning Everywhere” program. As an economics professor with forty years of teaching experience, I decided to attend and speak in support of them.

Many of the speakers – including most of the opponents – acknowledged the videos were well-produced, objective, and suitable for high school students.

We also noted that the videos alone did not fully satisfy NH’s competency-based education model. The Board would need to ensure a lesson plan with a variety of learning activities and assessment tools was added to meet state requirements for a .5 credit course in Financial Literacy.

That should have concluded the meeting.

Hearing adjourned! Nope.

One Hundred NEA/AFT educators appeared with hair on fire because – DENNIS PRAGER!! For two hours, these folks embarrassed themselves, trying to malign Mr. Prager, a prolific scholar, well-known talk show host, and the founder of PragerU. Prager was given a variety of names – including “white supremacist” and “racist” who wants to get his “camel’s nose under the tent” and infiltrate NH education with conservative views.

I was tempted to turn around and ask, “Shouldn’t you people be in CLASS?” But I figured NEA was giving them three hours of “Professional Development” credit to come unfairly blast Prager.

Ian Underwood delivered the zinger of the morning, asking attendees why they were here picking away at a ‘financial’ literacy course – when literacy scores per se in NH are so disastrous. Call the burn unit!

The PragerU videos were also attacked for lacking “rigor.”

Purported Financial Literacy videos are everywhere on the internet, so I surfed over to NEA’s “Financial Literacy” resource page. Sure enough, it provides links for teachers — including some old Abbott & Costello skits and a Bill Cosby Show episode showing the TV family grappling with budget problems.

NEA “rigor”?

Given the state of public education, the NEA and AFT leaders who attended to complain about Prager might want to tend their own garden.

Opponents also supplied entertainment, crying about the prospect that students might click on other PragerU videos and be exposed to – gasp! – different perspectives on subjects such as transgender beliefs and climate change policy.

They called the videos “hate speech” and disparaged PragerU for daring to enter the education realm with analysis competing with positions pushed out by unions.

President of AFT-NH Deb Howes pouted that the series was “intended to “indoctrinate” – even though several speakers emphasized PragerU’s videos would represent one choice among many learning options.

“We do not want propaganda in our schools!” yelled one speaker.

“Can’t they hear themselves?” I wondered.

That’s what made it so entertaining. This was a totally sincere lot!

Opponents were blind to the irony of their own words. A perfect example of what is meant by ‘Systemic’ bias, I thought.

One Board member reminded the audience that a Bedford teacher had assigned a text by a self-described socialist – for a Personal Finance class!

That was pretty funny. Both sides became agitated!

To the Board, I noted during my comment that “everyone has a political bias or viewpoint. Let’s provide options for students – a diversity of age-appropriate perspectives, not censorship – and foster critical thinking skills! And yes, if the Chinese Communist Party produced an excellent Algebra video for students – I’d take it!” (in response to an earlier speaker who thought she’d gotcha’ed PragerU supporters with the question).

One speaker said her conclusion that the videos are “biased” against the government was based on seeing a girl grimacing in the PragerU video on “Taxation.” That same girl, however, grimaces through several of the other PragerU videos. After all, it’s about Personal Finance – and living within a budget. Eew!

That particular remark revealed what I’d already known – that many educators cannot distinguish between private and public sectors.

Private spending involves voluntary purchases from a variety of competing firms. Public finance operates through force (because it’s a function of majority consensus) and oversees monopolies more susceptible to corruption, cronyism, and bailouts because of the lack of competition.

It all depends on how carefully the government is monitored by The People – which the PragerU Taxation video itself noted!

Prager was viciously maligned as pro-slavery and anti-Semitic (even though he’s a practicing Jew), and belittled as an “infotainer” who wants to “make money” …with videos…about retirement planning…for 9th graders. Right.

The ignorance displayed was shocking.

Mr. Prager is a New York Times best-selling author. He has published dozens of books on subjects ranging from religion and culture to American politics and Middle East affairs. He speaks several languages. He conducts symphony orchestras. He did graduate work at the Russian & Middle East Institutes of Columbia University and has taught at Brooklyn College. He is #24 among top radio talk shows in the United States.

I’ve listened to Prager’s radio program many times. While I don’t always agree with him, he’s always impressed me as a brilliant thinker who offers thought-provoking perspectives on a vast array of important societal issues.

Thanks to the BOE for approving the videos.

Another Episode Of “Liberals Protest” Being Treated Like a Border Town

Thu, 2023-09-21 22:30 +0000

Yarmouth, Massachusetts, is an 85% white, mostly Irish/English, above-average income town on Cape Cod. It also has a majority-liberal population protesting the unexpected arrival of illegal immigrants (Migrants) dumped on them by the State of (Emergency) Massachusetts.

In a letter to Gov. Maura Healey Tuesday, the Select Board urged the state not to place migrants at another possible housing site in town, the Yarmouth Resort motel. Officials wrote that the location has “become a nuisance to the town,” does not have an occupancy permit and the property is under a cease-and-desist order. Meanwhile, the issue has become a source of contention in town, according to Town Administrator Robert Whritenour, who said the lack of communication from the state is only exacerbating the problem.

It’s such a big deal that the Yarmouth Town home page has a migrant shelter update alert at the top of the home page.

If you click the link, you see a press release that updates the reader on how the ‘new arrivals’ were unexpected, but Yarmouth has sucked it up and done as expected.

Yarmouth, September 18, 2023 – Town Administrator Robert Whritenour of Yarmouth received unexpected news from Governor Healy’s Office on September 13, regarding the presence of additional migrant families at the Harbor Side Suites. Including previous arrivals, a total of 21 families, comprising 72 individuals, were reported to be residing at the motel without prior notice to the Town of Yarmouth having been received.

Hotels and motels have been the primary destination for illegal entrants during Obama’s Third Term. Especially when they (the illegals) find themselves on liberal plantations. Cities, towns, and states have been “renting” the rooms with taxpayer dollars, much to the increasing dismay of the property owners of the hotels and the residents and business owners in surrounding areas.

Harbor Side Suites, by the way,

…features a selection of traditional rooms, townhouses, and bungalows that have been thoughtfully designed and recently renovated to provide a comfortable and luxurious stay. Each accommodation comes equipped with on-site laundry facilities.

Our guests can also take advantage of our parking facilities, which are included in the cost of their stay. Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend escape or an extended vacation, our flexible reservation options allow you to book a room for a night, a week, or even a month.

At Harbor Side Suites, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and a memorable experience. Book your stay with us today and discover the best of Cape Cod.

Looks nice. If you want to book a two-night double occupancy, it’ll run you 538.00. They have 45 “rooms” available. Sorry. They have twenty rooms left after filling 25 with migrant families – likely long-term guests, and the locals are riled up.

Meanwhile, protesters have been gathering outside of Town Hall and the hotel where the migrants are staying. One woman was kicked out of a heated five-hour meeting on the subject Tuesday night. Residents voiced concerns over the influx of migrant families, including the cost of health care, education and communication.

And tourism. You can’t “house” tourists in rooms filled with illegal alien families, but talk about an opportunity? Liberals looking to show their support can not only vacation in Yarmouth; they should book rooms at the Harbor Side Suites (before they are all occupied by Migrants). Mingle with the huddled masses.

And where are they planning to “house” them after the Harbor Side puts out the no vacancy sign?

It’s a good question, but here’s a better one. What did they think would happen to local housing, health care, and education after leaving the border open to millions of illegal entrants? That only right-wing border towns would have to live with the aches and pains of progressive policy? Where is the equity in that?

And let us not forget that these are human beings (the migrants, not the liberals), many of them with children. The political leaders you keep electing* promised them something, and here you are bitching about having to deliver on it.

Or are you just pissed that you can’t wash your hands of them with the alacrity of the open-border progs on Martha’s Vineyard (who got an award for their quick response)?

Keene Now Selling Parents Portrait of a Graduate: Here Is What They Will Not Tell You

Thu, 2023-09-21 21:00 +0000

Do you get the feeling that school administrators do not want you challenging them on the garbage they are allowing in your district now? From Pornography for kids to gender theory to CRT to assignments that are more about identity and self-examination than actually learning any quality academic content.  The Keene school district is no exception. They are selling this latest fad as if it’s a “strategic plan.”  Schools simply copy the fads, then years later when it’s time to keep the focus off the lousy proficiency scores, they come up with something else to replace them.

Here’s another way that administrators are working hard to get parents to ignore the poor performance we see in many of our schools. Portrait of a Graduate and Portrait of a Learner.

Here is what you will not hear from administrators when they sell your school board and community on this latest fad;

  • ‘Portrait of a Graduate’ Used to Push Critical Race Theory Through Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)
  • SAU21: Portrait of a Learner’s Lack of Focus on Academic Excellence
  • Portrait of a Learner in SAU21: More Data Mining Your Child’s Mental Health for $$$

Unfortunately, many school board members tend to lap up these latest fads as they are presented, rather than question them. It will be up to parents to demand better.

Biden Admin Announces Plan for Army of Climate Commissars

Thu, 2023-09-21 19:30 +0000

This will sound familiar and should elicit a similar reaction. The Old Soviet Union employed “a political commissar or political officer – a supervisory officer responsible for … ensuring political control of the military.” Similar “officers” infiltrated every aspect of life and reported to the State.

Keep that image in your head as you read this.

Biden’s so-called American Climate Corps will, according to the White House, mobilize “a new, diverse generation” of more than 20,000 Americans who will be trained and put to work on conservation, clean energy and environmental justice projects. The ultimate goal of the program is to pave the way for members of the corps to find jobs in the public and private sector.

“The American Climate Corps is a new initiative that will… work on a wide range of projects that tackle climate change — including restoring coastal wetlands to protect communities from storm surges and flooding, deploying clean energy, managing forests to improve health and prevent catastrophic wildfires, implementing energy efficient solutions to cut energy bills for hardworking families, and more,” the White House said.

Green Shirts. Climate commissars. State-trained infiltrators tasked with reporting your climate sins to the government. That’s my read.

“Today’s historic action to put an American Climate Corps into motion is a clear demonstration that the Biden administration knows there are more ways they can leverage executive power to lead an all out mobilization of our government and society to stop the climate crisis,” said Sunrise Movement Executive Director Varshini Prakash, who joined the White House on a press call for the announcement. ..

“Young people everywhere should feel empowered by this victory and continue demanding the change we need,” Prakash continued. “We’re often asked how President Biden can win the support and enthusiasm of young people. He’s gotten our attention. Keep going.”

Mao’s Cultural Climate Revolution.

I know Congress isn’t good for much, but this needs to be unfunded, defunded, or reverse-funded, and where, by the way, is Biden getting either th money or the authority to do this crap?

I know. The Republic doesn’t work the way it used to.

Tennis Courts and the War in Ukraine: A Climatic Comparison

Thu, 2023-09-21 18:00 +0000

The tiresome trend of self-righteous climate activists gluing themselves to treasured works of art to “protest” against fossil fuels and anthropomorphic climate change recently extended to the US Open, where tennis was condemned via the gluing of footwear to the tarmac. This theater of the cultishly absurd has become increasingly clownish as attention-seekers vie for the limelight. This contrasts starkly with historic American protests, e.g., labor unions, civil rights, women’s suffrage, Abolition, or the War in Vietnam. Protesting tennis based on climate is shameful compared to the misery and climate impacts of war, particularly the War in Ukraine.

The folly of humans deliberately gluing their fleshy limbs to airport runways, Picassos, or dinosaur parks in protest against carbon dioxide has become passe. This self-flagellating fad is flagging like pet rocks or platform shoes. Once enough of ‘the in crowd’ have attached themselves adhesively to a motorway, car dealership, or Italian sculpture, the ennui sets in. The tennis court disrupters sporting “End Fossil Fuels” t-shirts had their fifteen minutes of fame, but such antics increasingly stick out like a bad mullet. How can such juvenile shenanigans be taken seriously?

Vietnam War protesters, union organizers, urban blacks, and slave liberators often had skin in the game – gluing one’s shoes to the ground is child’s play next to burning a draft card in public or taking a club to the head to unionize or desegregate. America has not been this divided since the Vietnam War but is now splintered over carbon dioxide gas. Yet those protesting on behalf of climate ignore the environmental disaster of the War in Ukraine.

Protests against the Vietnam War were volatile, a cauldron of tension boiling beneath the nation’s socio-economic landscape. More recently, many Americans protested against the indefensible war in Iraq. But nary a peep from the erstwhile peacenik left against the Ukraine War. This is tragic, likely due to the lack of American military personnel being shipped overseas to battle in Ukrainian grainfields (let alone a draft!). The tennis-court-gluers would not be so bold if they clutched draft cards instead of $1,000 cellphones that pollute the planet, risking only their loafers.

The greenhouse gases generated by the ongoing Ukraine conflict increase daily, joined by toxic chemicals. Cluster bombs manufactured in the USA contribute to significant warming in that region – a heat wave of demonstrably anthropomorphic origin. American elementary school children are conditioned to think that burping cows are an existential threat, and that humanity has but a handful of years within which to avert certain doom. Even those schoolchildren can see that, if that is true, the munitions and destruction in Ukraine threaten to destroy the entire planet irrevocably unless peace is sought immediately.

Climate Peace in Ukraine? And yet peace is not sought in the name of climate change, either by the Biden Administration, NATO, the United Nations, or the brave tennis court foot-gluers. If not on behalf of the women and children being maimed and killed in Ukraine, why not protest for climate urgency as applied to that faraway conflict? Where is climate envoy John Kerry’s derision of the US-fueled war while he chides American farmers for growing food with tractors, or owning cows? AOC is vocal about cow flatulence but doesn’t burp a word against the ongoing environmental calamity in Ukraine – instead, she hawkishly voted to send weapons there.

A recent UN report claims that drastic shifts in finance, industry, and consumption are required to sufficiently reduce greenhouse gas emissions to avert disaster and that it is unlikely this can be achieved. The report calls for eliminating fossil fuel subsidies, which will drive up consumer energy costs by trillions of dollars to “incentivize” struggling communities to use less fuel. It also claims meat consumption must be reduced by eighty percent, immediately – quite a good deal for Bill Gates’ creepy synthetic meat, especially since the UN calls for global domination using “both supply and demand side measures” to technocratically control markets!

No Protests of the Ukraine War Yet the environmental impacts of the war in Ukraine have gone unprotested by those who glue themselves to paintings, airport runways, and tennis courts. The world leaders gathering at the UN to inflate consumer fuel prices and compel vegetarianism (who gets to eat the 20% of meat left, BTW?) also gathered to fund Ukraine’s war machine with hundreds of billions of dollars. Perhaps they could have saved the UN their upcoming November meeting, had they sued for peace instead.

The Nord Stream Pipeline was sabotaged as a consequence of this un-climate-protested war, by actors unconcerned by environmental impacts. The German Environment Agency estimated the climate impact of the explosion to be equivalent to roughly 7.5 million metric tons of carbon. That equates to a whole bunch of Dutch cows, yet cows are targeted by the UN, with no concern for war.

The rippling effects of the Ukraine War are cataclysmic in greenhouse gas terms. Beyond the munitions and explosions, and the Nord Stream Pipeline, there are Pantagruelian dimensions of increased greenhouse gases. Per one report:

Germany has followed through on the controversial decision to close its six nuclear power plants (NPPs) and has restarted its coal-fired plants to replace lost Russian gas imports. Germany is currently burning an all-time record amount of coal to keep the economy powered. And it’s not just Germany: Turkey overtook Germany and Poland in June to become Europe’s top producer of electricity generated at coal-fired plants.

The World Burns Because Ukraine Burns Where are the protesters of the Dakota Access and other oil pipelines, if not screeching like Vietnam War protesters against this Ukraine-centered, Europe-wide, greenhouse gas effusion? Is the protection of sacred Native American lands paramount to Ukrainian villages? Might the carbon footprint of the Ukraine War call down the world-ending fire of climate change upon those very same sacred tribal lands? Why is the mass conversion of large swaths of Europe to a coal-burning frenzy not attracting the attention of the cow-flatulence and Rembrandt-gluing climate crisis brigade, even as the UN calls urgently for universal immediate consumer sacrifice?

Perhaps they are watching tennis, glued to their TVs.

DeSantis Collapse Continues in Latest NH Poll; Trump Leads Ramaswamy by 26 points

Thu, 2023-09-21 16:30 +0000

Chris Christie and Americans for Prosperity are spending a lot of money in New Hampshire to convince voters that Trump can’t beat Biden. So, how is that working out? Not well, at least not yet. Trump is still on top with 39%, followed by Ramaswamy at 13%.

Nikki Haley landed third with 12 points in the UNH poll, with Christie rolling in fourth(11 points); Ron DeSantis is disappointing at 10%.

With four more months and then some to move the needle, this is not the end, but the DeSantis folks must be concerned. What looked like a neck-in-neck race early on (he was even ahead six months ago) has devolved into a nearly complete collapse in the Granite State. Since March, when Governor Ron was leading Donald Trump, he’s lost 33 points.

Trump is nowhere near his peak, so he may want to watch out for the new kid. Vivek has been persistent and bold. He’s got PACs running good, hard-hitting, no-nonsense ads in New Hampshire (that I actually like), and this is the time for that.

Vivek was nobody in March when DeSantis was at 43% but is now ahead of people with better national name recognition (Mike Pence is pathetic at 2%). So, Ramaswamy is (at the very least) tied for second place, accounting for the margin. That’s impressive. (Iowa has him fourth behind Trump, DeSantis and Haley. Vivek has ranked second or third in a few national polls).

And please don’t construe that as an endorsement, which is a persistent problem when discussing candidates in races. Last month, I endured a rather tiring email thread over several days with someone who claimed GraniteGrok (I will leave out the vulgar language and insults) was a bunch of Trump fanatics. Even after pointing out that our writers can write about whomever they like, however, they want, and that this is not an endorsement by anyone else or GraniteGrok, they persisted.

Right up until I insisted, they provided some evidence (links in this campaign cycle) showing how I (personally) was a Total Trump Homer. I never heard from them again. That may mean they are busy compiling evidence, but I get a sense that the argument was less compelling once sobriety weighed in. And they had spent a lot of time complaining about how crass and rude Trump is while browbeating us with insults and vulgar language. I found the absence of self-awareness amusing.

It was a DeSantis supporter, so this post won’t help.

I will admit to this. Donald Trump is far more interesting a candidate than anyone else running. Our readers are more likely to respond to posts about him. And yes, that’s why many folks feel he can’t “beat” Biden. He is polarizing. But the Left fears him more than anyone, and that means something to Republican Primary voters, even in fickle New Hampshire, where they may be realizing that he sells the message better and has receipts. He’s far from perfect. I’d like to hear more about cutting spending and opposing pandemic planners and their ilk. But he has tried to stand between us and them (the government).

That’s not common.

Nearly every Republican politician says it. Few do it once elected or do it for very long, but it is what Republican Primary voters seek, now more than ever, and it all shows up in the poll.

69% of those polled are sticking with Trump no matter what.

Ramaswamy has a very impressive 31% of those polled who have decided to vote for him, which means he’s built a fan base in the Granite State on which to build.

There is some good news for DeSantis. he is the overall best second pick of the litter in this poll.

And some more bad news for former NJ Governor Chris Christie. Sixty percent of those polled would never vote for him not even if he brought donuts.

Mike Pence didn’t fare well, with 42% refusing to choose him, with Donald Trump untouchable by 30% of the polled Republican primary voters. That’s a lot and instructive. 69% have decided on Trump, while 30% have decided against Trump. If Trump wins the general, it is safe to say that one of the ways the AFP prediction comes true is if 30% of Republicans let the Democrat win rather than choose Trump.

Aren’t the people who say they won’t vote for Trump many of the same folks who have always told everyone else to hold their noses and vote for whatever spinless RINO piece of trash the party puts up?

Just another thought among many.

A Thoughtful Question That Deserved a Thoughtful Response

Thu, 2023-09-21 15:00 +0000

The New Hampshire House Education Committee met to discuss a proposed Bill that would require schools to include COMPREHENSIVE Mental Health Education in all schools. The Committee members took time to discuss the merits and the problems with HB505.

During the long discussion, a surprising admission came from Representative Cascadden (D), who represents Coos District 5. Her statement was even more surprising given her background in education, where she has worked as a Superintendent in our public schools.

Dr. Cascadden often times offers reasonable comments to consider when addressing proposed legislation. That is why so many of us were surprised to hear her comments on how to deal with students who are suffering from mental health problems that may be caused by issues raised in schools.

Representative Mike Belcher (R), who represents Carroll – District 4, asked the committee to consider some of what students face in school that could lead to mental health challenges for some students. You can hear him bring this up at 1:33:00 when he discusses a student who came before the committee on other proposed legislation and shared her struggle with some of the heavier topics that are now discussed in schools.

Representative Cordelli (1:32:00) first makes the case that maybe some of these problems students are facing could be coming from what is happening in the schools. Representative Belcher followed up with a call for some introspective thought and agreed that maybe some of the problems they expect the schools to solve could actually be coming from the schools themselves.

Rep. Belcher mentioned a student who testified on another Bill earlier that year. That student was practically in tears because students are now burdened with societal problems such as climate change and racism. She felt these problems were now on her shoulders.  Rep. Belcher asked his colleagues if schools are now putting the problems of the world on teenagers and asking them to solve these problems.

This was a thoughtful question that deserved a thoughtful response.

Instead, Rep. Cascadden, in reply, says, “That’s why parents have choice.”

This response caught many by surprise. If the weight of the world has been put on teens, then maybe we need to look at that. Everyone is talking about students having to deal with mental health problems like no other time before. Let’s look at where teens are situated and spending most of their time in school. Why was that suggestion dismissed without any consideration?

Adults today are wondering why their children are struggling with their mental health. There are many factors that can contribute to a decline in a child’s mental health. It could be social media and bullying. It could be their home life, but it could also be heavy subjects that are discussed in school.  Are teens going home with the belief that the future is doomed or that they are responsible for the actions of other people?

What happened to learning in a joyful environment? Many of us can remember a time when we learned academics in school but, at the same time, learned in a joyful environment with our friends who became lifelong friends. It’s where many teenagers met their spouses. It’s where we graduated with a lifetime of memories.

Today’s students have to deal with school shutdowns, forced masking, and societal ills. If they have any kind of home life that adds to these problems, is it any wonder that they are struggling?

Rep. Cascadden seemed like she was concerned about the mental health of children until she made such a flippant remark like that.

If the topics are too heavy for teenagers, then let’s listen to them. How are teachers approaching these subjects in the classroom? In a way that educates children or in a way that leaves them depressed, anxious, and believing their existence is causing the destruction of the planet.

Maybe Rep. Cascadden needs to look inward, too. If she does care about these kids, as she has indicated, then we should take into consideration how these subjects are taught in school, too.

Trump In The ‘Hood’: Former President Should Rally In Black Precincts

Thu, 2023-09-21 13:30 +0000

ow can Donald J. Trump electrify the campaign trail, turbocharge his re-election prospects, and nauseate the Democrat Left? Stage MAGA rallies in the hood.

Atop his usual Republican-leaning venues, the former president should hold his signature mass meetings in the black neighborhoods of such swing-state cites as Atlanta, Cleveland, Detroit, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, Philadelphia and Richmond. Trump should capitalize on one of Election 2024’s most intriguing trends: The 45th president’s rising popularity among black voters.

The Fulton County, Georgia, mug shot that made Leftists salivate backfired. The GOP base circled its wagons more tightly around Trump. Added advantage: This police-involved photo shoot gave Trump street cred as a victim of The Man. (RELATED: JOSH HAMMER: Hunter’s Gun Charge Is A Big Problem For The Biden Crime Family)

New York Post’s Jon Levine recently showcased pro-Trump rappers. Chief Keef told his 8.8 million Instagram followers, “He good in da hood.” Badman Kevo, who boasts two Trump tattoos, complained: “Biden…actually got me paying a lot of taxes.” Buffalo’s Benny the Butcher declared via X: “I’m votin Trump 2024.”

Black attitudes towards Trump are warming far beyond the recording studios. Edison Research’s exit polls gave Trump 8% of the black vote in 2016 and 12% in 2020, including 19% of black men. Reuters/Ipsos discovered in July that 18% of blacks favor Trump versus 46% for President Joe Biden. A late August Economist/YouGov study pegged Trump at 20% among black registered voters compared to 62% for Biden.

Fox News on Thursday spotted Trump at 21% and Biden at 69% — down from 87% at the last election, per Edison. These combined figures put Trump 9% ahead of and Biden 18% behind their final 2020 results.

Trump should ask in person for the votes of this increasingly receptive audience. He also should discuss his overall record and how it specifically helped black Americans. He should remind black voters about the broad economic boom that the Trump/GOP Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) and deregulation unleashed, before COVID-19 wrecked everything.

  • Real median income for blacks grew from $39,490 in 2016, under Obama-Biden, to $45,438 in 2019, during Trump-Pence — up 15%.
  • Obama-Biden’s black unemployment tumbled from 8.0% in December 2016 to Trump-Pence’s 5.3% in August 2019.
  • Blacks below the poverty line slid from 22% in 2016 under Obama-Biden to Trump-Pence’s 18.8% in 2019.

TCJA included Sen. Tim Scott’s Opportunity Zone initiative. The South Carolina Republican’s measure has lured at least $48 billion in private capital into 8,764 low-income Census tracts whose populations are 57% minority.

Trump arranged a steady stream of taxpayer support for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. He extended Pell Grants to summer school students. HBCU presidents begged Obama-Biden for this small reform and got nowhere. Trump delivered.

Trump reauthorized and funded the Washington, D.C., school voucher program. Obama-Biden struggled to kill it.

Trump signed the First Step Act, which has granted second chances to 23,158 mainly black non-violent prisoners. After going home, 12% have reoffended, far below the general prison population’s 45% recidivism rate.

Trump should promise a vigorous economic renaissance, robust school-choice options, and a muscular fight against crime — to protect its disproportionately black victims.

Rallying black voters also will endear Trump to other minorities and even “nervous whites.” They will see for themselves how the regime media shamelessly lie about Trump’s “white nationalism.”

Democrat officials will have seizures. They consider blacks their political property and take them for granted — save for their condescending, quadrennial battle cry: “GOP = KKK!”

This might explain why black turnout trailed national participation in 2020 and 2022. If Trump can attract 20% to 25% of disillusioned black voters in November 2024, Democrats will be cooked like Thanksgiving turkeys.

If Trump stumps in the ’hood, Leftists who call him “Racist!” will beclown themselves. If Trump disables the Democrats’ relentlessly overplayed race card, he will cripple them.

Trump’s inner-city rallies would find black and white Trump fans shouting in harmony: “Make America Great Again!” CNN and MSNBC anchors would hurl on cue. Who cares?

What a perfect rejection of the Critical Race Theorists, who hate seeing black and white patriots happily disproving “systemic racism.” And what an affirmative reply to Rodney King’s eternal question: “Can we all get along?”

Trump should ask black voters a question that will crystallize their sense of betrayal at the hands of their morally bankrupt “benefactors.”

“What the hell have the Democrats done for you lately?”

Need a Little Lift? Here’s Some Red Meat American Patriotism to Start Your Morning

Thu, 2023-09-21 12:00 +0000

Mark Robinson is the current Lt. Governor of North Carolina. He is the first black man to hold the role, but he deserves a shot at much higher office (rumor has it he might be on Trump’s shortlist for VP, but that is not confirmed). All I can say is, wow!

Related: Remember Mark Robinson Who Scolded a School Board. Now’s He’s Scolding Others Over Voter ID

According to his bio, he is the 9th of ten children with an abusive alcoholic father and a strong Christian mother. After watching him speak, I was willing to bet he had some background as a preacher, but I didn’t find any. He worked in furniture manufacturing, mostly, before landing in the world of politics, and he appears to me to be very good at that. Politics. The talking it up part, at least.

Robinson comes off as very pro-America and pro-American. He supports a strong US military free from the race and gender BS, and he’s got some suggestions about Biden’s open borders and what he’d do if he were the governor of Texas (looks like he may have listened).

Good read meat for Republicans and Conservatives.

I Want To Thank All Those Who Invested Their Time and Talents in This Campaign

Thu, 2023-09-21 10:30 +0000

I want to thank all those who came out and voted in the Rockingham County District 1 special election on September 19th. This whole journey started in June when I decided to run for the seat that Ben Bartlett had to step down from due to health-related issues. Ben stuck it out as long as he could but felt he couldn’t perform the duties he was elected to do.

I commend him for being a person of integrity and doing what he felt was right. If he hadn’t stepped down, I would not have had the privilege of running for this seat.

This campaign allowed me the opportunity to meet so many really awesome people. The communities of Northwood and Nottingham are similar in many ways. But the greatest resource of this community is the people! I met some many beautiful folk that I was truly blessed beyond measure. I could go on and tell many stories of my encounters, but for now will savor them in my heart.

I want to thank all those who invested their time and talents in this campaign. I want to especially thank all the state representatives who came out and knocked on doors along with making phone calls. This was truly a team effort, and I, for that, will be forever grateful.

I will continue to serve my community as a selectman and the fire department chaplain. That role was never going to change. Although the election results didn’t turn out as I and many others had hoped for. I am eternally blessed for the experience of running in this special election and meeting so many great people.

The US Senate Keeps Lowering Its Standards

Thu, 2023-09-21 01:30 +0000

It was inevitable that the philosophy of no grades in schools would find its way into business and government. After all, that is the purpose of indoctrination instead of education. It is not to educate our children and prepare them for productive lives but to adjust their mindset to accept the new America, the one that the Left promised to transform.

They are delivering on their promise, and what we have is a generation weaker, less educated, and most importantly, more malleable than any generation in our young history.

Two leaders in our past told us the truth. A young Ben Franklin answered a question during the closing days of the Constitutional Convention. On September 18, 1787, “A lady asked Dr. Franklin, Well Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy – A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.”

Former President Obama, on October 30, 2008, just before the presidential election, told a crowd in Columbia, Missouri, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Many thought Obama was referring to a man of color becoming President, but we now know he wanted to break down America and rebuild it as a Socialist entity.

The indoctrination of America that started over 100 years ago is complete. From kindergarten through college, the Left has succeeded in making the purpose of our education system the transformation of our young people who are now poised to become leaders in our country.

That is a long preface to get to a “profound” point. The John Fetterman affair has disheartened me since his unfortunate stroke. It is sad when anyone experiences a life-threatening event, but sadder when someone recovering from a severe stroke is pushed to continue his campaign for a Senate seat. I am still naive enough to think the Senate is a body of 100 of America’s best and brightest. John Fetterman has destroyed that myth, and now Chuck Schumer is breaking the traditional dress code on the Senate floor for Senators, not for staff.

Schumer has instructed the Sargeant at Arms to no longer enforce the Senate dress code of suits for men and business attire for women. To accommodate John Fetterman’s love of shorts and hoodies. He can now grace the Senate floor in his favorite sweat-shorts and bulky hoodie.

The rules are changed for the 1 of 100. The minority has spoken.

I do not think a person necessarily performs better in a suit than a hoodie, but the Senate is looked up to by more than Americans. The world looks at our Senate as representative of our best, and then seeing John Fetterman struggling to parse a sentence together wearing a hoodie with ketchup stains down the front is not symbolic of America we should all aspire to. John Fetterman is a non-functioning member of the Senate, and now he looks his part.

He is a manipulated con man blocking his seat from a legitimate Senator for the Keystone State, and the Majority Leader just became complicit. Fortunately, changes like this are not law or cast in stone, so we can right these wrongs when the adults regain the room.

The Deep States Greatest Asset

Thu, 2023-09-21 00:00 +0000

In 1957, J. Edgar Hoover, FBI Director, warned: “The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst.” Hoover went on further stating that this ignorance of evil “would handicap an individual coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists.”

Patriots should pressure their Senators and Representatives to help Speaker McCarthy keep his promise to shine a congressional searchlight on the Chinese-linked biolab called Prestige Biotech. Speaker McCarthy has a laboratory in his own backyard where mice are “genetically engineered” to catch and carry the COVID-19 virus.

This accidental exposure found during a code inspection was a red flag, causing the city fire department to declare the lab a hazard to the community, a possible source of explosion, and other health threats. According to the 9/11 issue, the “emergency specialists of truth” at thenewamerican.com:

The Fresno County Department of Health reported finding thousands of gallons of biological fluids and samples of at least 20 pathogens such as HIV, malaria, SARS, and E. coli.” Health Department Director David Luchini told the Mid-Valley Times that in his 30 years experience,” he had never seen anything like the medical violations his department uncovered… among countless blood, tissue, and bodily fluid samples, investigators also found thousands of vials containing unlabeled fluid.”

The fact that mice are genetically engineered to catch and carry the COVID virus right in the Speaker of the House’s home district is dangerous. And the China connection makes it more serious. But even worse is that the power of “we the people” to limit government to the Constitution remains only an asset to the Deep State because Americans do not know the law of the land that needs citizen enforcement.

This is evident by the kind of leaders we continue to put in office. There are no shortcuts. The American people must, in the majority, learn how the Founders intended the Constitution to limit government abuse of power. “If a Person’s Genitals Do Not Determine Their Gender, How Does Removing Them Change Their Gender?”

Wed, 2023-09-20 22:30 +0000

The headline is a quote from a piece at Brownstone. It is a lengthy thing that documents at least 40 incidences of elites ignoring their own mask, lockdown, or distancing mandates. It is a handy reference worth your attention, but as the title tells you, that’s not what I’m going to talk about.

The Transgender agenda is a thing with no foundation, no rules, no guardrails. becasue it can’t have any. And yet it does. LGBTQIA+- or BIPOC people are victims unless they vote the wrong way or use incorrect words. At that point, you can mistreat them at will. So it’s not about sex or gender. It is like every other group to which the Left panders. Politics and ideology define you.

Outside of that truth, everything else is made of quicks that swallow everything, but can it swallow this? “If a person’s genitals do not determine their gender, how does removing them change their gender?”

Why do men who say they are women dress as the caricatures women have sought to liberate themselves for decades? And why isn’t this parody scorned like blackface or cultural appropriation?

Why do these men play-acting as women act like the Hollywood stereo-typical bubble-headed bleach blonde?

Why does this subculture advocate giving children gender-bending drugs that can kill them under the guise of keeping them from killing themselves when nearly half the kids treated (far more than if you left them alone) will try to kill themselves when you’re done?

And if genitals do not determine gender, how does removing or adding them change their gender? Deliberately trying to match a person’s body parts to their mental state directly contradicts the idea that gender is fluid.

Genital mutilation surgery is anything but fluid, which might explain why so many of the kids brainwashed into castrating themselves as a solution to another problem the left created, try to end their lives – which, as we’ve long suggested, is the goal. The Progressives have concocted a way to make castration – long considered a suitable social engineering tool, protected. And if they end up dead, that advances the depopulation agenda too.

The Police State of America (Part __) … The Biden-Regime Criminalizes Opposition To Abortion

Wed, 2023-09-20 21:00 +0000

And yet more evidence that America is a Police State … the Biden-Regime is throwing grandmothers in jail for the crime of opposing abortion. And the people on the Right who are saying, “this should concern you even if you support abortion” just don’t get it. The Left does NOT support free speech. They believe that opposing viewpoints should be censored, criminalized.

I don’t hear too many GOP “leaders” talking about this. Presumably because they’re afraid of losing the suburban moms in Bedford. And, at least in New Hampshire, these “leaders” want us to focus on the important issues … like protecting Facebook and Google from regulation so they can continue to interfere in elections, and help the Deep State spy on us and censor us.

Is Your Lawmaker in Good Standing?

Wed, 2023-09-20 19:30 +0000

I want everyone to take a look at this email from Citizens Alliance NH, a group I am not very familiar with, but I did respond to them as a rep candidate last year.

This message could easily get very long as I could refute the ratings of lots of reps, particularly many well-known ones who have earned their reputations, good or bad. This group has red-starred a lot of good reps that I support. I’m sure you will see for yourself as you spot-check a few.

I’m glad that the author of this report had enough common sense to red-star ALL the Nashua reps, particularly the Newmans and their ilk in Hollis. However, they gave green stars to some very unworthy RINOs!

Ted Gorski voted YES on HB 1342 last year. He and former Rep Wuelper seem to like the idea of uncapping Nashua and voted with the enemy camp. Thank God Wuelper is no longer in office, but Gorski sadly isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. They’re the kind of people that Ward 4 (home to the disgraced SM Laughton and no-show serial swamp rat David Cote) would vote for. Green stars were also given to several Belknap treasonist members of the famous “Lang Gang” of Gunstock. (see other GG articles)

And about Lang, let’s talk about how they reviewed the Senate. First and foremost, the WHOLE Senate deserves a reprimand for voting YES on Mass Health unanimously, and one should never forget that. At least my senator responded to my complaint with a defense argument about uncompensated care being a “hidden tax.”

While I appreciate his honesty and decision to not ignore me, I still do NOT support that vote.

And Tim Lang wrote an editorial about a “conservative vote for it.” 23 out of 24 Senators got red-starred. While I agree that some Republicans have gone wayward, two examples being Denise voting YES on Twitley’s welfare school lunch and database surveillance and Sharon’s union sympathizing, I don’t think all of them necessarily deserve red stars. And Sharon makes up for that union sympathizing elsewhere, particularly in her support for SB 203. And the one and only yellow star (a mediocre rating)? You guessed, Senator Murphy.

I happen to like Senator Murphy, but how did he do marginally better than his 23 peers? Was it just because he voted for pot? I’d like to know. Asking for ALL of NH.

Share your thoughts about this group and this survey report in the comments.
