The Spanish Blackout Shows Why the Green Dream Is Unsustainable

Tue, 2025-05-06 14:00 +0000
When the Spanish electricity grid collapsed one ordinary Monday in late April, the dreams of renewable energy and the green transition team died with it. On these pages, Ryan McMaken was quick to point out that, under European Green Deal-type political convictions, affordability and reliability are not important virtues of the European electricity grid. Shoving too much odious excrement onto ... Read more

NPR Pretends It Is Beyond Reach

Mon, 2025-05-05 20:00 +0000
The headline that coerced me into clicking on a link to an article at New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) is ‘The Independence of Public Radio Cannot Be Compromised.” My first thought was, what’s independent about NPR and NHPR? “CPB is not a federal executive agency subject to the President’s authority. Congress directly authorized and funded ... Read more

Can The Feds Save New Hampshire From Our Climate Cult Neighbors?

Mon, 2025-05-05 12:00 +0000
It is no secret that New Hampshire and Granite Staters are on a big climate cult meat hook, not entirely of our own making. Yes, we still have lingering mandates like carbon credit schemes (neutered but not gone) alongside renewable portfolio mandates. These should have been flushed down the toilet years ago, but bitter climate ... Read more

Agent Waltz?

Sun, 2025-05-04 22:00 +0000
The Washington Post is reporting today that recently-ousted National Security Advisor Mike Waltz may have been involved in activities even more nefarious than inviting journalists onto highly sensitive Signal group chats. It appears that what really angered President Trump is less Waltz’s incompetence (or worse) in keeping sensitive military communications secure, but rather his taking an active ... Read more

Chemical Coat Hangers

Sun, 2025-05-04 20:00 +0000
The political Left’s obsession with managing the death of others ought to be a disqualification for anything short of a straitjacket.
