Update: It’s Not “Where’s Waldo?” It’s “Where’s Dan Eaton (D-Stoddard)”?

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 16:00 +0000

My previous post on re-elected Dan Eaton (D-Stoddard) brought up an interesting question: where does he really live? He lists 139 Power Line Rd, Stoddard NH as his official domicile/residence as living in the NH State Representative District in which he lives.

But a couple of tipsters are curious about that as it was clear that a resident of that street said that he didn’t know where Eaton lives. Well, some additional info…

The lakeside cottage still doesn’t show any “signs of life”:

Street sign and “cottage signs: what, no “Eaton”?

Finally, the name “Eaton” shows up – but is this just a “mail drop”?

Will there be more?

But a more important question is: will new NH House Democrat Leader Matt Wilhelm ask the important, and perhaps embarrassing,  question (with proof) of his Elder-of-the-Party (the one who already seems to have a bit of an unsavory past) as to where he actually lives?

Taking Another Whack at this So-Called Pandemic Amnesty Thing …

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 14:30 +0000

The answer is still no. You don’t get amnesty. Your behavior was reprehensible. You’ve damaged millions of people and ruined millions of lives, and when the accounting is done, you were complicit in what may be the single most significant genocides in human history.

But that’s not why you don’t deserve amnesty.

The entire time, the truth was right in front of you, whether you labeled the people challenging your “new normal” deniers or not. I’ve still got screen-grabbed data showing over a year’s worth of State numbers.

4/15/21 % Risk of % Risk of Positive Test
Age Hospitalization Death Survival Rate
0-19 0.10% 0.00% 100%
20-39 0.273% 0.019% 99.99%
40-59 0.96% 0.15% 99.85%
60-69 3.33% 1.21% 98.79%
70+ 7.4% 13.27% 86.73%

These results were consistent throughout, and even then, COVID Cultists demanded quarantines, vaccine passports, masks, and other restrictions.

But pre or post-masking, distancing, or lockdowns, the numbers are the same. Pre-vaccine to post-vaccine numbers were the same, with a few minor exceptions. New Hampshire had no COVID deaths under 20 until after the vaccine rollout.

COVID was never the threat advertised, and it was right in from of you in the state’s data. But your so-called media, politicians, “leaders,” and state and local health boards ignored it. All they cared about was positive cases detected by a flawed test.

12/14/2021 Age Hosp% Deaths Death % survival
0-19 0.13% 1 0.00% 100.00%
20-39 0.33% 16 0.03% 99.98%
40-59 1.26% 105 0.22% 99.83%
60-69 3.42% 222 1.29% 98.63%
70-79 7.30% 442 5.35% 93.60%

Those most likely to die – while still a tragedy – were past the average life expectancy age. Their odds of surviving the flu after the age of 80 are already low; still, 80% of them survived the so-called plague of COVID.

Your answer was to inject 70% of the population with an experimental drug with significant risks, almost none disclosed. You then pilloried the other 30 percent while fearmongering alternatives with long tracks record of safety.

Your science was so bad that you had to stop reporting vaccine status because most people still getting hospitalized for COVID were and still are vaccinated, but not after repeating the lies. And we have not yet begun to discover how badly this “cure” has damaged the lives of children who were never at risk.

I don’t care if you joked about hoping we died. I assume that’s everyday dinner conversation among the vapid Left. I don’t care that you danced on the graves of those who did. You’ve always done that. What bothers me is how quickly you embraced and advocated for tyranny as if all you needed was an excuse.

You are the threat to Democracy and the Republic. You are a threat to women’s health and human rights.

And, while I’m a big fan of salvation and redemption – assuming genuine contrition – this particular offense is hard to forgive. But the specter of another test is upon us. There’s been an unprecedented spike in Respiratory syncytial virus in infants, probably of vaccinated mothers or vaccinated children likely cased by this.

There was an interesting article in Cell magazine showing that Covid vaccine destroys all-important hematopoietic (blood-related) stem cells responsible for the development of immunity and much more. If you want to read more about it, check out Brian Mowrey’s article too.

[More from Igor Chudov, here]

The COVID Karens are not handling it well, blaming the unvaccinated.

No amnesty for you.

Derry Dem Saves Citizens from Dangerous Book

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 13:00 +0000

Elle Gallo, an “open-minded” former Democrat candidate for state representative in Derry New Hampshire, is proud of censoring a billboard message promoting a book about protecting girls from lives of pain and regret.

Her campaign website (screen-captured here) says:

Here in Derry I successfully rallied a small but mighty group of Derry residents to form a coalition to remove an anti-transgender billboard in town.

The electronic billboard message featured an image of the book Irreversible Damage: The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters by Wall Street Journal writer Abigail Shrier, and the message “Your Daughter is Learning About Gender Identity on Social Media. Get The Facts. Read This Book.”

I raised funds to put up the message from concerned parents, including some who saw their daughters being harmed by the gender craze. Since transgender activists had my message removed, I’ve taken to the sidewalk.

Gallo asserts on her website:

I don’t claim to be an expert on everything, but I’m open-minded and will listen to town officials, residents, businesses, and students of Derry.

Had Gallo been open-minded enough to research the book, she would have learned that it was named one of the best books of the year by the The Economist, The Times and The Sunday Times in the UK.

Shrier explores why there has been a 4,000% increase in children seeking gender treatment in the UK between 2009-2018, while in the US the number of teens identifying as transgender doubled between 2018 and 2020. Many of these children are permanently damaging their bodies with puberty blockers, hormones, and double mastectomies.

Shrier suggests that gender identity is being spread as a social contagion since these are girls who never expressed discomfort with their sex until they heard coming-out stories or discovered trans influencers on social media.

Since Gallo forced the billboard message to be removed in March, Shrier’s concerns have also been raised by The New York Times, Reuters, and former president of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health Erica Anderson.

Related: Transgender Ideology Harms Children

Health officials in England, Sweden, Finland, and France have also recognized teen transing as a social contagion and banned or strictly limited administering puberty blockers and hormones to minors.

From the official announcement of Sweden’s policy change:

These treatments are potentially fraught with extensive and irreversible adverse consequences such as cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, infertility, increased cancer risk, and thrombosis.

As a result of the powerful trans lobby’s censorship and misinformation, there are tens of thousands of detransitioners, young people who previously identified as trans or non-binary but then “de-transitioned” to reclaim their sexual identities, like Prisha Mosley, 22 who was interviewed by Reuters:

Mosley suffers from painful vaginal atrophy, marked by dryness and inflammation of the vaginal walls, a common side effect of testosterone that she said she didn’t fully understand when her doctor warned her about it. She is undergoing laser treatments to remove the facial and body hair brought on by testosterone, and she hopes to be cleared for breast reconstruction.

Mosley said she wishes her doctors had focused more on her mental health instead of endorsing her desire to change her body. ” just took the cure that was handed to me,” she said, “and I ruined my life.”

Elle Gallo is a devout proponent of a fragile ideology, so it’s understandable that she would be willfully blind to these dangers and insist that the citizens of Derry share her ignorance. I encourage those who are open to another perspective to read Abigail Shrier’s insightful book.

2022 Election Cycle Leftovers – Part 3

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 11:30 +0000

And on and on and on it goes.  First, second, and now third.  Need I say more?

  • Source of Election Chaos Identified: Two Little Changes Made to Ballot Printers

One such notable snafu occurred in the state of Arizona, which is embroiled in a lengthy tabulation process that has exasperated voters. A new report from Votebeat has shed a bit of light on the “how” of the voting issues plaguing Arizona. Simply put, the printer settings had been input incorrectly for the voting machines in question.

Election Department representative Megan Gilbertson told Votebeat that the “media weight” for ballots was set to “heavy, as recommended.” That is, apparently, the correct setting. The media weight of the receipts and ballot envelopes was, however, set to a lighter setting. So the printers were not able to heat the ballots enough for the toner to stick, according to reporter Jen Fifield.

These settings didn’t appear to cause any issues, or at least not this widespread, for the primary election or for early voters. Why did this error occur on the literal day of midterm voting? Votebeat reported that printers are tested before voting begins. Why didn’t the alleged testing catch any of these issues? At the end of the day, this falls on the Board of Supervisors and Gates. They will eventually have to answer these questions, and anyone concerned with election integrity will certainly be listening with attentive ears.

  • Journalist Exposes Mail-In Vote Disaster as Clark County Accepts His Signature on 6 Envelopes

For the second congressional election in a row, a journalist has demonstrated that there is a potential hole that could be exploited in the way one Nevada county deals with mail-in ballots.
In 2020, columnist Victor Joecks of the Las Vegas Review-Journal tested Clark County, Nevada’s signature verification process for mail-in ballots, and found that eight ballots were accepted in which the handwriting on the envelope containing the ballot and the ballot itself was different. This year, six ballots made it through, he wrote in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

“I had 11 people send me a picture of their ballot envelope. I then wrote their name in my handwriting. Each voter then copied my version of their signature onto their ballot return envelope. They sent me a picture to ensure it wasn’t their normal handwriting. This simulated signing someone else’s ballot. It’s also legal because each voter signed his or her own ballot.”
In a perfect system, all 11 would have been set aside, he said. Instead, only five failed to make it through.

…“What this proves is that Nevada’s mail ballots remain vulnerable to fraud. Even small-scale fraud can shift races,” he wrote…

You’ve Been Gaslighted – Democrats Just Stole Another Election

Think of all the times in just the past few years you’ve been gaslighted. They lied to you about open borders…they lied about Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails…they lied about spying on Trump…they lied about Russian Collusion…they lied about a perfectly fine Ukrainian phone call…they lied about massive Biden corruption in Ukraine and China… they lied about the Hunter Biden laptop…they lied about the origins of Covid…they lied about the need for lockdowns and masks…they lied about the need for Covid vaccines…they lied about the vaccines being “safe and effective”…they lied and covered up all the deaths and injuries from the vaccine…they lied about the success of miracle drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin…they lied about the stolen 2020 election…

And these are the exact same people now telling you Democrats just over-performed, and stopped a GOP red landslide, against all odds, without cheating and stealing the midterm election. Historically, every president in history facing his first midterm experiences a tough day with automatically 20 to 30 House seats lost…and 4 or more Senate seats lost…but this terribly unpopular President Biden is brain dead with severe dementia, and can’t put 3 coherent sentences together…Yet Biden defied history? While also facing the worst economy in modern history…and the worst inflation in America’s history…and out of control crime…and open borders…and failing schools…and polls showing 75% of Americans believe the country is going in the wrong direction…Yet Biden beat all of that?

If you believe Democrats made a miracle happen, without cheating, rigging and stealing…I have a bridge to sell you, over the Atlantic Ocean, in the Vegas desert

  • Rick Scott Believes He Knows Why A Red Wave Was A No-Show

…With the Left’s constant radical messaging of pushing sexualization on kids, driving gas prices up, draining Americans’ wallets, and being soft on crime, it should have been obvious that voters would go another route in this year’s midterm elections.  However, it only left Republicans disappointed with the results.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla) believes he knows why the red wave didn’t come as planned.

“I think we’ve got to reflect now. What didn’t happen?” said Scott, adding, “I think we didn’t have enough of a positive message. We said everything about how bad the Biden agenda was. It’s bad, the Democrats are radical, but we have to have a plan of what we stand for.” Despite polls showing Republicans were in the lead ahead of the elections, Scott said that the reason the party fell short was that Republican voters didn’t show up to vote, calling it a “complete disaster.”

Actually, voters did show up – just not where they were needed. That said, I looked at the Republican House messaging as the “new Contract with America”.  Frankly, it was hollow, vapid; a wild, wild, West movie town facade with words across a page that said nothing concrete about what Republicans were going to accomplish in detail.  There was nothing there of any substance. Heck, even the ordinary blogger could come up with better messaging than these geniuses in DC paying millions of donors’ dollars to high-priced consultants.  I certainly didn’t buy it.

  • ‘White Wave’ of Mail-In Ballots Slammed Oz, Other Republicans

Call it “the White Wave.” A flood of white envelopes containing mail-in ballots lofted Democrat candidates to victories in several key Nov. 8 races. Case in point: Democrat John Fetterman will occupy Pennsylvania’s coveted U.S. Senate seat instead of Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz. In that race—and several others—mail-in ballots acted as a breaker against the “Red Wave” of wins that Republican leaders had hoped would wash across the nation at a time when Congress and the White House are both Democrat-controlled.

The lopsided numbers in the Fetterman-Oz race starkly reveal how key the mail-in segment of the electorate has become despite Republicans’ emphasis on in-person voting.

Based on unofficial tallies available as of Nov. 9, Oz drew 500,000 more voters to visit the polls on Election Day than Fetterman did. But that margin wasn’t enough

  • With This Obstacle in Place, Republicans Can’t Get the White House

Surveying the wreckage of the disappointing Republican midterms, voters were left scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong.  With the fundamentals being as bad as they were this year, Republicans underperformed expectations, and it was fairly obvious that they would experience no red wave by early in the evening on Election Night. While I’ve seen plenty of postmortems already, the single biggest issue that wrecked the wave was mail-in voting combined with ballot-harvesting, which all but eliminated Republican hopes in states where Democrats control the voting rules.  This is why Senate polls were so wrong in these states.

The two states where the impact was most obvious were Pennsylvania and Michigan, but it snuffed out real Republican chances all over the map in states where the Democrats control voting laws.  Pennsylvania literally elected a dead man, and I’m not even talking about the pro-crime radical with such severe brain damage that he can’t form a coherent sentence.

  • The battle over a 100% hand count in Arizona pulls back the mask

Some day, perhaps even sometime this year if we’re lucky, when election officials in Arizona finally find someone capable of mastering preschool mathematics and they finish counting their ballots, we may know the outcome of the 2022 midterm elections. But that day is not today, my friends. They are somehow still flummoxed by the task of gathering up hundreds of thousands of ballots and feeding them into machines of dubious efficacy. Meanwhile, a different set of election supervisors appears to be ready to move forward with a hand count of nearly all of the ballots. Those officials are facing threats from state Democrats, however. The liberals have gone to court and obtained an order to forbid any such action, though the ruling seems to defy the state’s election laws. But even under the ominous threat of criminal charges, the group of election “radicals” appears to be ready to start the count as early as this weekend. (Associated Press).

…The details of the election law in question make it unclear how this judge’s ruling could withstand a challenge. The normal process typically only involves a handful of precincts undergoing a hand count. But that’s by tradition, not by law. The law only says that the precincts subjected to a hand count must be selected “at random.” The judge’s order even admits that the number could be increased.

There is seemingly more being revealed here than any potential flaws in Arizona’s electoral process or voting machinery. Why would Democrats be so uniformly opposed to a hand count? What is the downside of doing it? When the “official” count as tallied by the machines is finished, they can release those results immediately. But even if it takes weeks to complete the hand count, those numbers could then be matched against the machine tally

  • STEPHEN KRUISER: Election Hangover: My Democracy Doesn’t Feel Saved at All.

That’s brought us to the point where we have a senile vegetable in the Oval Office who is being handled by a cabal that’s driven by extreme leftist fringe interests. These people wake up every morning bright and early thinking of new ways to get their puppet president to shred the United States Constitution.

In case you missed it, President LOLEightyonemillion is feeling pretty frisky after last Tuesday. Robert wrote on Friday that Ol’ Gropes has vowed to not change a thing now that the red wave didn’t make it to shore.

That means that his handlers have free rein to continue the executive abuses of power we’ve been suffering under since January of last year. In September I wondered how long the country could survive a rogue Justice Department and an attorney general hell-bent on revenge. Well, boys and girls, we’re about to find out.

It’s not just the Biden administration that’s ready to flex. Ryan has a post about Sen. Ed Markey of Massachusetts threatening Elon Musk with congressional action because Musk mocked him in a tweet.

Nothing unhinged about that at all.

The GOP Consultant Class Has a Choice to Make

As I wrote in my election post-mortem, this entire ordeal has been an unmitigated disaster, and there’s plenty of blame to go around, which I’ll choose not to rehash here.

With that said, there is a looming battle that’s about to take place, and it’s an important one. Namely, who will be in GOP leadership going forward? Is Kevin McCarthy going to be the Speaker of the House? Will Mitch McConnell once again reprise his role as the Senate Minority Leader?

If you ask the GOP consultant class, they will answer in the affirmative to both those questions. Despite the fact that we just had the worst mid-term failure in decades, beltway-dwelling Republicans are just fine with keeping the same failed leadership in positions of power. Why wouldn’t they? After all, Mitch McConnell is supposedly a genius. I mean, it took real skill to pass gun control and to give Joe Biden his infrastructure bill last term.

I’m assured that no one else can possibly do the job. Certainly, it couldn’t be a Republican who might have favorable ratings that aren’t in the low-20s. I mean, who cares if the vast majority of Americans hate the second most powerful Republican in the country, a man who also happens to be 80 years old? Better that we keep him in power as a divisive, controversial figure until he completely ages out. Someone has to keep Lisa Murkowski in line. Of course, getting rid of Murkowski would have been a better solution, but McConnell decided to bankroll her against another Republican instead.

  • It’s The Big Ugly, and We’re Here For It

Ever since the professional Republican apparatus decided to target, eliminate and destroy the grassroots movement known as the Tea Party, there was always going to come a time when the battle for the heart and soul of the GOP Club would take place. CTH has been calling this battle ‘The Big Ugly‘ for around a decade.

The Big Ugly battle is essentially the fight between the grassroots working class base of MAGA voters and the professional political snobs in control of the Republican Club boardroom. Some call it the ‘base’ -vs- the ‘establishment’.  There are other names and catchphrases, but the essence of the dynamic is the same.  A scruffy voting base, who, prior to Donald Trump, had no visible leader to represent their internal interests around the mahogany table.

Ordinary voters were in an abusive relationship with the people around the GOP boardroom.  The Club needed our votes, and our money (less so after the Citizens United decision) but had no intention of ever actually delivering on the priorities of the voters.  The Republican political establishment played Lucy with the football for years, and We The People always ended up flat on our backs, continually frustrated and feeling used.

The Corporate Club didn’t and doesn’t care.  Instead, while they sold out the working-class to the multinationals (TPA, TPP, Paris Climate, etc) they fought harder, gaslight more, and made even more promises they never intended to keep.  Lucy had an unending supply of footballs.

Then in 2015 things changed.  The voting base found a weapon for use against the Republican Club, the weapon’s name was Donald Trump.  From the very first poll conducted after his 2015 announcement Trump was leading the charge, and that lead steamrolled 16 other Club approved candidates.  The Club remained furious and vowed to remove the disrupter we sent into the boardroom…

  • These Counties Experiencing Election Issues Have One Thing In Common

It suffices to say that Election Day didn’t go as planned for some polling places that experienced and are still experiencing ballot-counting issues. Despite the varying election-related difficulties, multiple jurisdictions share one foreseen commonality. There’s a common thread connecting five counties spread across several states that were in disarray on Election Day: federal “monitors.

On the eve of the elections, the Biden administration’s Department of Justice announced Monday it would be dispatching such monitors to as many as 64 jurisdictions in almost half of U.S. states on Election Day to oversee federal election law “compliance.”…

‘We have to figure out how to beat them in their own game’

HEGSETH: “what are Republicans to do then? Is this a state-by-state effort? Everything you just said we laid out they will declare you and I and everyone else who thinks this way as election deniers and threats to democacy, we’re spinning conspiracy theories. Let’s just say evereything’s above board in Arizona and ned. Let’s just say you are still delaying it in a way that makes people lose confidence in the process. If you were governor or secretary of state. We laid out some of those things they will have to overcome resistance from people to call them bad names.”

RYUN: “Two-prong approach, Pete. Early voting and mail-in ballots it is rife for corruption and fraud. Where we have the ability to outlaw, we must. Where we can’t and I have to tell you after Tuesday nights elections in Michigan and Pennsylvania and other places we better play by the rules of the game that have been laid out for us. If they want to have early voting, universal mail-in and ballot harvesting in their state we have to figure out how to beat them in their own game. I think that’s the only way you’re going to do it in some of these upper Rust Belt blue states. Beat them at their own game, and where we can, we outlaw that.”

  • Gingrich: GOP Got Nearly 6 Million More Votes but Lost Many Races, ‘What’s Going On?’

“I’ve never been as wrong as I was this year,” Gingrich, an Epoch Times contributor, said on Nov. 10. “It makes me challenge every model I’m aware of, and realize that I have to really stop and spend a good bit of time thinking and trying to put it all together.”

He pointed to a vote tracking sheet by the Cook Political Report, a bipartisan newsletter that analyzes elections, which shows a roughly 50.7 million Republican turnout for the House—outnumbering Democratic votes by nearly 6 million. Gingrich noted this gap could shrink to 5 million when ballots in deep blue California are fully processed. “But it’s still 5 million more votes,” he said.

“And not gaining very many seats makes you really wonder what’s going on,” he added. “I want to know, where did those votes come from?

  • Six reasons for close election add up to one big warning for Republicans

America has become more divided, but Democrats are far more loyal voters

The 2022 midterms are almost in the books. The large red wave did not materialize, although Republicans did pick up some congressional seats and, apparently, the House. There are significant and important reasons why a large red wave didn’t occur and one large warning for Republicans.

First, before anyone says Republicans had bad candidates, keep in mind that the Democrats won the Senate with John Fetterman and Sen. Krysten Sinema, D-AZ, before him. Bad candidates didn’t stop them, and this article addresses why.

6. We are More Divided Than in 2010.

5. The starting point in the House.

4. Republicans had 21 Senate seats to defend.

3. Democrats are far more loyal voters than Republicans.

2. Americans are addicted to government.

1. Republicans failed to convince voters they had a plan.

  • OK, Who Is Getting Fired?

Somebody better get canned. Someone has to pay. Somebody important. Our culture is a disaster in large part because we have failed to hold leaders accountable when they screw up, because we have given losers a free pass and accepted excuses and therefore, accepted sub-par performance. Look at the wars since 2001 – what generals got relieved for the failure to win them promptly? And look at our military now. It’s a disaster. This goes for the GOP in the wake of last week’s fiasco.

We were supposed to win big on Election Day. The fundamentals were there – history, the bad economy, general malaise. The president is a doddering pervert and at least one of the opposing candidates was a brain-addled ogre. We were told we were going to see a red wave, maybe a red tsunami, and the red we ended up seeing was our blood on the floor. So, who in a very top position of power in the GOP – not some second-tier functionary – is getting fired because of it?

Now, I understand there are a lot of people with a piece of last week’s debacle. But this is a situation that us lawyers call “joint and several liability.” That means a lot of people are to blame and all of them own the results jointly. So when we talk about the GOP leadership, the guys and gals who accepted the job of getting it done, there’s no “What about so-and-so!” There’s no “But I was a victim of circumstances beyond my control!” There’s no excuse

Go read the rest of the above!

What Are The Casino Regulations In Manchester?

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 10:00 +0000

There are several land-based casinos in and around Manchester, and they are all fully licensed to offer real money gambling services by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission – an independent non-departmental public body that is sponsored by the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS).

This renowned authority is responsible for licensing and regulating the online and offline gambling industry in the UK.

Currently, you need to be at least 18 years old to play at a land-based casino in Manchester, and some of the best land-based casinos where you can play classic table & card games, slots, and more, are revealed right here.

What are the casino regulations in Manchester?

Everything comes under the watchful eye of the UK Gambling Commission – one of the most trusted online and offline gambling licensing authorities in the world. To play at a land-based casino in Manchester, you must be at least 18 years old, and to apply for a premise licence to operate a casino, you must also be at least 18. The same legal minimum age requirement applies across the entire UK.

You must also be authorised to apply for a premise licence if you are applying on behalf of a company or partnership, and you must hold or have applied for an operating licence from the UK Gambling Commission for the relevant gambling activity. The main forms of gambling activities that you can hold a licence for are categorised as the following:

  • Adult gaming centres and family entertainment centres
  • Betting track premises
  • Betting track premises
  • Betting other (betting shops)
  • Bingo premises
  • Casino premises (converted, large and small)

Gambling premises fees are attached to all of these different types of gambling activity licences, which include a new permit fee, a provisional statement fee, a licence following proof statement fee, an annual fee, a variation fee, a reinstatement fee, a change of details fee, and a copy of document fee. Additionally, there are also gambling permit fees attached. The exact cost of these fees varies slightly from one type of gambling licence to the next.

Top casinos to visit when you’re next in Manchester

If you live in the United Kingdom and you’re looking for a casino experience, but don’t have the time or the money to visit Las Vegas or Macau, then you may want to save a bit of cash and head to Manchester. The city has a great selection of casinos, and some of the best casinos in Manchester to visit before trying any others are the following:

  • Manchester Casino 235 (aka Manchester 235)
  • Grosvenor Casino Manchester
  • Grosvenor Casino Soames
  • Grosvenor Casino Didsbury
  • Genting Club Manchester

All of these fantastic venues are controlled by reputable owners with proven track records, which means that they are all perfectly legit. They all offer a unique casino experience and a great atmosphere. You can also count on ample parking, friendly and professionally trained staff, and a wide range of games to choose from. They also have restaurants where you can eat and drink, and they are all set in fantastic locations that are easy to get to.

Many of these land-based casinos run the occasional tournaments and other special events at certain times throughout the year, and many of them also have some fantastic bonuses for new players and existing members to take advantage of. For a complete guide about legal gambling age requirements in the UK, you can visit several trusted sites, such as Ask Gamblers or the official UK Gambling Commission website.

Which is better, a land-based casino or an online casino?

For those of you who can’t easily get to any of these casinos, the next best alternative is to play at an online casino. Today’s best UK online casinos are also fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. They are free to sign up to, and they are also controlled by trustworthy operators.

Online casinos that accept real cash wagers from UK players are generally packed with 1,500 or more games to choose from, all of which have been developed and supplied to the casino by various leading online casino software providers, such as Microgaming, Playtech, NetEnt, Red Tiger Gaming, Blueprint Gaming, Play’n GO, Inspired Gaming, iSoftBet and Pragmatic Play, to name just a few top providers.

If you want to take your online casino experience to the next level, you need to check out the live dealer casino games. They are the closest thing to land-based casino games, and some of the best live dealer games out there today are from Evolution Gaming, Playtech, and Pragmatic Play. Don’t forget, when you sign up to a UK online casino, you can also claim a guaranteed new player welcome bonus.

You can play at these casinos from any modern smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer that has internet/Wi-Fi, and you can deposit and withdraw at these sites using a wide range of popular UK online payment options, such as Visa and MasterCard (debit cards only), and e-Wallets, such as PayPal, Skrill, and NETELLER. The exact type of payment method you can use will vary from one online casino to the next. If you do play at a casino, always remember to gamble responsibly.

A Very Good Chance to Overturn Dem Win in a Recount

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 02:30 +0000

Republican Dennis Hogan, is in a virtual tie with Democrat Mary Ann Crowell in the race for Hillsborough County Register of Deeds. Hogan got 81,388 votes and Crowell received 81,450, a difference of only 62 votes, a minuscule .038% of the votes cast.

Hogan, a former Hillsborough County Attorney, has a very good chance of taking this seat.

In the recount for Nashua Ward 9 the Republican state rep candidates each gained more than 20 votes apiece and many of those voters likely voted for Hogan. In a recount of the entire county, there could be many more Republican votes recovered.

Related: A Few Thoughts About the Election Recounts in Nashua

This is also a good chance to uncover irregularities in the machine count of the ballots across the cities and towns of Hillsborough County including Nashua, Manchester, Merrimack, Milford, Bedford, Amherst, Goffstown, Hollis, and Hudson.

We need at least eight volunteers who are registered Republicans for the recount plus a few more volunteers in case someone has to cancel and more if volunteers can’t stay for the entire recount.

The recount is on Tuesday, November 29 at 9 am at the New Hampshire State Archives at 9 Ratification Way, Concord. Training will be available on-site prior to the count so plan to arrive at 8:45 am at the latest. Plan on being there for three to four hours and longer, if you can. Please contact Di Lothrop at vchair@nashuagop.org if you are interested in helping with the recount.

SAU 3 Berlin – Well, Shining a Big Flashlight Actually Works!

Granite Grok - Mon, 2022-11-21 01:00 +0000

In the previous post of this series, SAU 3 Berlin – Trying To Mollify Me That A Card Catalog Isn’t What I Know It To Be (Parsing, Much Parsing), I ended my email to SAU 3’s hired lawyer, Barbara Loughman this way:

Right now, you are needlessly spending valuable taxpayer money in stalling for time in refusing to cough up a simple list of books that would take no longer than 3 minutes if you had complied from the get go. Add 5-10 minutes to create an email, attach that file, and email to me.

Should I start submitting a series of RTKs for the legal expenditures at the GL account level for paying your invoices to the District?  And the complete audit trail for invoices, payments (of course, redacting any “privileged communications” from them – only financial totals of each instrument) and then start publicizing it locally as to why the District is spending THEIR hard earned money because you won’t fork over a list of books?

Happy to do so. I would rather, however, just get all the responsive records and get out of your hair. Your decision.

I was on my town’s Budget Committee for almost 10 years and actively monitored such GL transaction activity and when I saw wasteful spending, you can bet I let others know about it.

After all, it’s not the District’s money – it’s the taxpayers’. At the rates you charge, it is now being wastefully spent.

Or, what are you hiding? I can write about that as well. Your decision.

Well, that pretty much ended it – game over.

Dear Mr. Murphy,

This is a further response to your RTK request printed below.

Attached is the Berlin Public Schools  Library Book inventory on an Excel Spreadsheet. This could not be done via PDF.  The listing is in alphabetical order by author, and includes: Title, Author, ISBN

Berlin does not have and cannot generate a list containing book summaries.   However, since all the books can be previewed on Destiny, on the library website,  it would just be a matter of searching. Destiny would also give other information such as similar titles, etc.

Thank you for your consideration.

  • I don’t think that my response was one that was expected.  And, if the slow walking/stalling had continued, I would have done all three actions:
    RTK’d the School District’s payroll
  • RTK’d the municipality’s payroll
  • RTK’d all the transactions (expenditures, receipts, and transfers) of the District’s GL Accounts dealing with Legal issues and publicized them.

I AM glad that it was not necessary. It shouldn’t have been – not over a list of books.

The Morale of the Story?  There are actually two:

  • RSA 91-A is a very power tool in any citizen’s work in keeping Government accountable to those that own it – us!
  • The fact that we need such a Right To Know is a poor reflection on our Government and those within in that have decided that WE, who pay for Government, are to be their subjects and are not entitled to know what they are doing.  These are the kinds of people we need to either run out of their elected/appointed political offices or have them dismissed as our public employees.

The process SHOULD be that if someone asks for something, it should be given to them ASAP with a smile.  Unfortunately, that isn’t the case.

In this, the blame is totally on the Berlin SAU 3 Superintendent Julie King for not complying with my simple request from the get go. Instead, she decided to spend monies defending her decision that a citizen would not be given a list of books and decided to lawyer up.

Perhaps I should attend one of their School Board meetings to ensure that those who are supposed to be in charge really KNOW they are in charge – and accountable for this wasteful spending.

Vaccine Extremists in Vermont May Have Hung Themselves on their Reproductive Freedom Amendment

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 23:30 +0000

When Democrats talk about women’s health, they mean sex parts, the uterus, and little else. And even in that context, “heath” means reproduction, which mostly means abortions—but choice means you can choose to have an abortion or a baby, and anyone who takes that choice away is an extremist.

Related: Heavy Menstrual Bleeding After the COVID Vaccine – Guess Who Has a Drug To “Treat” That?

So, what do you call a political party that demands women put an emergency-use pharmaceutical in their body and threatens their job, business, freedom, or lifestyle should they refuse?

A Democrat! And Vermont (which is full of them) may have a huge problem. There is growing evidence that the COVID-19 vaccines can directly and adversely affect a woman’s “reproductive freedom.”

Related: If mRNA Vaccines Aren’t a Threat to Human Fertility, Then Why …

From Steve Kirsch

This is one of the slides in a recent presentation I made at the FLCCC conference showing VAERS symptoms that are elevated for the COVID vaccines vs. other vaccines. The slide shows the top 37 VAERS symptoms that are most elevated by the COVID vaccines. As you can see from all the arrows, the COVID vaccines are a disaster in terms of interfering with a woman’s reproductive health.

Related: Similarities Between Horse Sterilization Drug And COVID mRNA Vaccines

Wait, there’s more!

A large study found that women of childbearing age who got the Covid vaccine are at heightened risk of 14 different conditions including having a miscarriage, fertility issues, fetal cardiac arrest, and menstrual abnormality.

Isreal, another nation that over-vaccinated its population, understood and has since tried to hide the threat and the damage.

Watch this short leaked video that the public was never supposed to see. This is from a meeting between the Israeli Ministry of Health and the scientific team they tasked with looking at the safety data.

The FDA, CDC, Doctors, hospitals, and Clinics failed to provide complete information so that those lined up to get an experimental drug could adequately exercise their right to informed consent. A violation of numerous local, national, and international laws. But it also undermines the Left’s claim that they are the defenders of a woman’s right to choose whether or not to have a baby.

And as bad as that is, states like Vermont have another problem. Our neighbors to the Left have enshrined “reproductive freedom” in their Constitutions. Any woman who henceforth made to take the COVID vaccine or booster to attend a school or keep a job and experiences menstrual hemorrhaging miscarries, or has some other detrimental side-effect (and can no longer choose to have children), has been denied their constitutional right to reproductive freedom.

Find a good lawyer and sue.

There’s probably a case to be made that a State can’t offer immunity from prosecution when that immunity violates a constitutional right.

Remember that the implicated EUA injection will have to have occurred after the Amendment went into force or the product was authorized by the FDA. For everyone else, feel free to take the nearest Democrat to the woodshed (rhetorically) until they stop insisting women give up their reproductive freedom to appease the Let’s vaccine extremism. Or because they refuse to stop scaring them into doing it.

Sunday Spotlight: A Baseball Player, Golfer, Cowboy, American Legend

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 22:00 +0000

I grew up with sports and have been a traditionalist about sports since I was a kid. That was probably instilled at an early age by my Dad. He loved all sports and taught me to do the same.

Two of my special sports memories were being taken out of school early on an April afternoon in 1967 and to be sitting in Fenway Park a few hours later at the Boston Red Sox Opening Day. The other is going to my first Patriots game at Fenway Park, a 13-13 tie with the San Diego Chargers, but what happened after the game made it special. Dad took me onto the field, and we walked out to the Green Monster. We were standing in left field at Fenway Park where my Dad’s hero, Ted Williams, ruled. I still well up thinking about that day and what it meant for my Dad and me. This was my Dad’s Field of Dreams and even at a young age, I could feel the importance of the moment to my Dad.

That was a long preface, but essential to why this week’s Spotlight has impacted me. Bull Durham, Tin Cup, and Field of Dreams are the early works that made Kevin Costner very special in my life and why he is this week’s Sunday Spotlight.

Kevin Costner was never acting to me. He was himself, the average guy living out his fantasies in sports and life. He was living out a story we could connect with and sometimes put ourselves in his place. It was an escape from reality and a trigger for great memories we should explore more often. Growing up, I was a fan of Jimmy Stewart, and I see these two men in a similar light. They were living life in front of a camera.

Costner loves this country, nature, and is a traditionalist. I see him as an anachronist enjoying life today but wishing he could explore the life of yesteryear. I watch the series he has done on Yellowstone, the landmark, not the series, and you can see the awe and admiration in his eyes as he looks out on the expanse of beauty. When I think of Kevin Costner, I see him in nature or the field of sports. Costner is a man who should not be trapped on a busy city street.

In his recent work, Costner plays John Dutton in the fantastic series, “Yellowstone” written by the genius Taylor Sheridan. In this role, Costner is the head of a family that owns the largest ranch in the country. He can enjoy the magnitude and beauty of the Montana land, protect his family from nature, and head off the corporations that want to transform the region. Though John Dutton is not a fan of government, he runs for Governor and wins the seat in the corner office of the statehouse. In this position, he has the power to thwart big-money efforts from California and New York that want to change Montana into their personal playground. You can see this playing out in real life and feel the anguish of John Dutton. This is the magic that is Kevin Costner. When he is on the screen, the screen comes to life.

Costner is working on his next project, Horizon, which will release in 2023. Costner will direct and star in this four movie saga set in, no surprise, the American west. The Horizon series will span a fifteen-year time frame of a western family in the American frontier. Costner claims the series will focus on the strong women of the time who often did not ask that this be where they were, but they did what was necessary to survive.

I am glad to see Kevin Costner getting accolades and recognition for his work while he is still with us. Costner is a natural treasure, and I hope he continues to master his craft for all of us to enjoy and live. It has been a pleasure to grow up through the eyes and works of this gifted man.

Free Speech Absolutism in 2022

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 20:30 +0000

So, Donald Trump’s Twitter account has been reactivated.

Because everyone should be free to speak in the ‘digital town square’?

No.

Because if the majority of people in the square want to hear what you have to say, you should be able to say it?

Yes.

Seriously, self-described ‘free speech absolutist’ Elon Musk put up a poll, and because 51.8% of respondents wanted Trump’s account reactivated, it was reactivated.

Musk said:  The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei.

So presumably, if just over half of the respondents wanted Trump to remain silenct, Musk would have listened to God’s voice, and kept the account closed.

Anyway, all those people who are afraid of being canceled on Twitter can now breathe easy.  If you can win a poll of your fellow tweeters, you can stay.

And that’s the 2022 version of Free Speech Absolutism in a nutshell.  It’s not some elite group of self-appointed guardians who will censor you.  It will be democracy itself!

2022 Election Cycle Leftovers – Part 2

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 19:00 +0000

LOTS of leftovers – like after Thanksgiving this Thursday coming up.  Why not put them up – make it a “collective” rant?  I thought about what each one said, perhaps it will trigger some GREAT comments and ideas! As always with these aggregated posts, some reformating and emphasis mine. This first one mentions the issue I’ve been trying to raise or years: the Culture War

  • Russ Vought: Cultural Issues Are ‘Existential Threats’ to the Republican House Leadership ‘Cartel’

WASHINGTON, District of Columbia — Center for Renewing America president Russ Vought said the reason Republicans are afraid to speak about cultural issues is because of the “cartel”-style leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives. “Cultural issues for decades have just been kind of pushed away, pushed to the side,” the former Director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump White House said. “Why? Because they’re existential threats to the cartel.”  Speaking on a panel with Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), Vought detailed the backroom, anonymous votes — which he styled the “cartel vote” — that take place so that the House leadership can ensure a win once a measure reaches the floor.

“Being willing to just go fly right into the sun with Walt Disney,” he said of DeSantis taking on the company pushing left-wing propaganda on children. “Most leaders, the cartel in this town, would say, ‘Oh, you can’t touch Disney, it’s Disney!’ But DeSantis went right out, took it right to them, and won 60-40.”

  • The Left Excels at Doubling Down – It’s Time for Us to Go Them One Better

All throughout this election season, one thing that was abundantly clear was that even in the face of hard facts and data contradicting their messaging, the Left never wavered and never blinked – they just kept doubling down. Polls indicating that voters cared far more about inflation, energy issues, supply shortages, crime, and education than abortion or climate change did nothing to change their tune. They stuck with their pet causes and narratives and, to some degree, it worked. At a minimum, it appears to have blunted the effects of the much-anticipated red wave.

It would be easy to throw up our hands and wonder why even bother with the political game anymore. But now isn’t the time to disengage. If anything, it’s time to do the exact opposite – take a page from the Left’s playbook and find a way to beat them at their own game. That doesn’t just mean “doubling down” and sticking to the same messaging. It means tripling – or quadrupling – down. The core principles aren’t negotiable, but the strategy is.

  • Is This Why the Red Wave Fizzled?

This election cycle was the best climate for the Republican red wave. You couldn’t pick a better season for Democrats to get shellacked at the polls. We have rising crime, high inflation, an economic recession, abject incompetence by congressional Democrats, and a White House aloof. Instead, Democrats were able to mount capable defenses of some key districts, stifling Republican efforts to clinch a sizeable House majority. The Senate was more dismal—Democrats are projected to keep control of the upper chamber, even though it looked as if a last-minute GOP surge could knock off Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) in Nevada, one of this cycle’s more vulnerable incumbents, and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) in Arizona. Both managed to win their respective re-elections.

…The segment hit on the upcoming debate the Republican Party will have with Donald Trump and what to do with him. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) should not be in the fight for her political life, but she is, with reports that her constituents are getting tired of her mini-Trump antics. The number of split-ticket voters in some crucial races, like Nevada and Pennsylvania, may point to Trump fatigue. It makes no sense for counties of Berks, Beaver, Cumberland, and Luzerne, all Trump country, to vote for Democrat Josh Shapiro in the Keystone State’s gubernatorial contest, but they did; Oz won these areas in the Senate race. Trump endorsed Doug Mastriano for PA’s governorship, who lost handily.

  • Gullible Voters Play the Sucker After Court Nukes Biden Student Loan Forgiveness Program

…The White House attempted to use that provision to wholesale cancel student debt for millions of people under the completely arbitrary and unsupported guise of COVID-19 still being a national emergency. The mental gymnastics it took to get there are something and had they been allowed to withstand scrutiny, it would have set a precedent that essentially anything goes no matter the original intent of a law. No doubt, the Biden administration will appeal, but I’m confident the Supreme Court will eventually take this up and put an end to it

That’s not the real story here, though. The real story is how many millions of voters went to the polls during the last election and voted for Democrats thinking they were getting a massive handout from the government. Think about the level of corruption that transpired. Biden gave an illegal order, knowing it was illegal based on past comments, to essentially buy the election. Then, days after the election, that illegal order gets struck down and the White House just stops accepting applications, signaling a surrender on the issue. By that time, though, all the votes had already been cast and it was too late to change anything. The damage was done.

What’s to stop Democrats from making that play every election now? The answer is absolutely nothing, not unless some real sanctions are put in place by the courts.

  • Can we overcome the Democrats remaking government to become a virtual husband/Daddy figure? How Conservative Men Can Help Solve The GOP’s Single Women Problem

Last week’s election revealed an ever-deepening divide between the voting preferences of single women and everyone else. Single women broke +37 for Democrats, whereas single men, married men, and married women all favored Republicans. Perhaps “toxic feminism” or “AWFL discourse” is the problem. But whatever the explanation, given the slim margins of the recent election, this is a real issue for Republicans.

Yet the political right ought to be the landing place for women. Those on the right tend to value tradition, order, and the family. Such qualities are good and right in themselves, but also good for women. A single mother without family or community is in a precarious spot, but a wife with children might look to her husband, her parents, or her church community for security.

So how ought men of the right to respond, recognizing that the flight of single women into the party of Drag Queen Story Hour and abortion is a massive problem? Before answering that question, let me make one caveat and then consider a few wrong responses.

  • Nothing to see here, just political double-talk; move along. Oh, and he’s supposed to work at counting votes: Top Maricopa election official launched PAC in 2021 to stop Republican candidates who questioned 2020 election

Arizona’s Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer created a political action committee in 2021 to defeat Republican candidates who questioned the integrity of the 2020 presidential election, the Post Millennial revealed. In November 2021, Richer admitted ownership of the PAC and spoke with the Arizona Mirror about why he started Pro-Democracy Republicans of Arizona. He said he hoped the committee would help elect Republicans who support “peaceful transitions of power.”

Sure. Bridge to sell ya, too!

The PAC’s website, which includes little information, states that it is “fighting to keep our democratic institutions alive” by supporting “pro-democracy Arizona Republicans.” The website says, “The Arizona election wasn’t stolen. We Republicans simply had a presidential candidate who lost, while we had many other candidates who won…The 2021 article about Richer in the Arizona Mirror noted that it is rare for an election official to get involved in campaigning for elections that they will also be responsible for overseeing.

  • Yes, it’s The View but what a whopper!: They lie, and nobody cares but us

…But The View gets a lot of views, and as with late night hosts who spread disinformation behind the mask of telling jokes, nobody can or does hold them to account for being liars. And they aren’t only stupid, they are liars and propagandists. They serve a purpose in the media ecosystem, training their viewers to hate and be scared of anybody who opposes The Narrative. They often know that what they are spewing is false, and know they will not be held to account.

Don’t ignore that second clip, because something very interesting struck me as I watched it. Sunny Hostin didn’t accidentally make her comment about Republicans plotting to raise the voting age to 28–an impossibility because the voting age is actually set in the Constitution by the 26th Amendment–she was reading from a script. Watch the clip. This was no slip up. It was planned.

It’s in the same vein during Obamacare during the ad where Granny was being rolled off the cliff in her wheelchair if it wasn’t enacted. Or taking Social Security away. Or any other number of things that he Dems KNOW aren’t true but say it anyways (like here Belknap County when the Democrat Citizens for Belknap/aligned squish Republicans claimed that Conservatives wanted to sell of Gunstock ski area – nothing but a like).

…Now lest you think that Sunny Hostin really is nothing but an idiot and made a mistake, she is not the only one to advance this claim. It literally is a talking point being put out over the newswires and being picked up and repeated by others. The news and entertainment world has been sent out to promote an almost, but not completely obvious lie.

It is not a completely obvious lie because the low information voters to whom it is directed are utterly clueless about how the Constitution works. Just as they bought the lie that Joe Biden could wipe away student loan debt with a wave of the hand, they are also being told that new elected Republicans are the ones now preventing it. They don’t know about courts, constitutional limits to power, or any of those complicated concepts. They never learned it in school because systemic racism and trans ideology were their curriculum.

Not Playing

…In the wake of the red hole that was supposed to be a red wave (which Sarah and others, including me on Twitter, told you wasn’t going to happen), there has been the usual finger pointing and a lot of chatter about how to re-arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic. Equally unsurprising is that the never-Trumpers and those who really didn’t like such a man but rode the train anyway types have declared a Trump-DeSantis fight and you must choose your side now!

… But, no, that would be uncivil and rude and worst of all it would have upset a lot of gravy trains that depend on the status quo. If you are interested in why many of us feel that there were things that needed investigation (and prosecution), read this post, then this post, and finally this post from Larry Correia. There is a lot more out there, but that’s a good start.

If you really want freedom, good (and limited) government, here’s a few suggestions:

First, don’t fall for and join in on the new urgent “thing” and declare your undying loyalty to it or whatever part of it is demanded. Not now, not later, as there are going to be many things as distraction.

Second, secure the vote. This really has to be done on the state (and local) level, and if you look at the states where that was done… Outside of those states, I think it may already be too late and I expect to see more Federal electioneering and attempts to force states to insecure the vote. All in the name of saving “our democracy” of course.

Personally I would love to see one day, limited/no mail, go back to absentee with valid reason, ID required, no same-day registration, LET THE MILITARY VOTE AND ACTUALLY COUNT THAT VOTE, and if I could sneak it in no straight party voting allowed. It will take good state-level leadership, with the support on the national leadership. Oh, and don’t forget, same-day vote tally. This third-world weeks-long bullshit has to go.

Third, this leads us to the need to change the leadership….

  • An overview: “our democracy” is like a tram

When a party goes leftist and captures all the cultural organs too, as has happened in the US with the Democrats, what results is a constant indoctrination session, plus voting rules that make a comeback from the other party well-nigh impossible.

…Conservatives believe in democracy/republicanism as a process that is not just a means to an end but a good in and of itself. But that’s only true if both sides believe it and play by the rules. For much of its history, most of America (not every city or every state, but most) played by those rules and agreed on and respected those rules. That is no longer the case, I’m afraid.

  • YEP. OR LET’S HAVE THE TRUTH WITH NO BARK ON IT: CHEAT OR BE CHEATED ON:

Republican Leaders Have A Choice: Roll Back Early Voting And Mail-In Ballots Or Learn To Take Advantage Of Them.

  • LINCOLN BROWN: So, Where to Now?

Cruz is particularly irked that McConnell pulled $8 million from Blake Masters’ campaign. Masters has said that he would vote against McConnell. Cruz said McConnell would prefer to hang on to his position as minority leader rather than see a GOP majority in the Senate. On the House side, the Freedom Caucus has made it known that it is thinking about finding someone to challenge Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House.

And of course, much has been made about the negative impact of Donald Trump on the elections and the developing rift between the Trump and DeSantis camps. While there is a chance The Donald may announce he is not running in 2024, he wouldn’t stage an event to do that. Judging by the number of articles and comments, people seem to be moving in the direction of wanting to thank Trump for his service and ask him to move on.

So while we sweat the results of the last few races and fret about the outcome of the Walker/Warnock runoff, we need to ask ourselves what we do next. Despite factors like inflation, crime, and immigration, much of the country indicated that it prefers the status quo. Perhaps these voters could not bring themselves to admit that they were wrong and wanted to give the Democrats one more chance. Who knows. Republicans remain at a disadvantage when it comes to messaging and money, and sweat equity. Whatever else you want to say about the Left, its people work hard during election season.

Sweat equity – not enough hands and feet off the couch and “into the streets” to do the grunt work. We get outworked all the time which SHOULD be telling us we don’t want it enough.

We can campaign all we want, dethrone McConnell, block McCarthy, and even fire Trump. We can also learn how to maneuver in a world in which balloting has been made so convenient that now it takes days instead of hours to count the votes. But we have to change the game on the ground.

It’s time to change from being reactive/rant-ive, it’s time to be pro-active. But what does that mean and, harder, how to do it?

  • Watch: Alleged Illegal Election Activity by Dems Caught on Camera in Pennsylvania

Project Veritas Action claims that election laws were flouted on Tuesday in Philadelphia by Democratic Party supporters. The group released two videos it said were shot Tuesday by undercover individuals. In one, a man identified as Rudy Stewart hawks pre-printed lists of Democrats, telling passersby, “Anyone need Democratic Party information?”

The video then shows a man later identified as James Harrison being asked by an undercover journalist, “So you’re telling me I should vote John Fetterman? I should vote Joshua Shapiro?”…

  • The Real Meaning of the Midterms: One Country or Two?

As were many, in the run-up to the midterm elections, I was seduced by the great Red Wave. I was even beginning to feel guilty that I hadn’t stayed behind to help—a touch anyway—and had moved to bucolic Tennessee.

I am writing this while much tooth-gnashing is taking place over which party will control Congress, but it doesn’t matter because something else far more important was made clear, if it wasn’t already, and—because of these arduous, monumentally unenlightening—midterms, we are forced to face up to it.

We are now two countries, intractable. We don’t like each other. We don’t want to talk to each other. We don’t even want to be around each other.

The mass internal migrations to red states from blue states of the past decade show this has long been underway. We are a nation of American Refugees, much as we were once a nation of refugees from other countries. (We are also unfortunately an open border country, but what I am recommending would fix that.)…

  • IF YOU CAN MAKE IT THERE: The red wave was real in New York and the GOP can build on it.

UPDATE: Wow

Zeldin didn’t win, but he must be the most consequential loser in NYC gubernatorial history. In fact, the New York State flips will likely account for the GOP majority in the House.

No wonder he wants to be the next RNC Chair…

  • Why are Democrats able to win elections with poor-quality candidates?

The topic of “candidate quality” has been discussed recently to rationalize Republicans’ poor performance in last Tuesday’s elections. It’s been repeatedly pushed by many on the Right as the main reason for the Republicans’ failure. But blaming “candidate quality” is foolish and an oversimplification. If candidate quality truly matters as much as some have claimed, why do Democrats continue to win elections while nominating low-quality candidates?

Consider Sen.-elect John Fetterman (D-PA). Some have argued that the reason why he won was that his opponent wasn’t a good candidate. This might be true. However, it is important to highlight that Dr. Mehmet Oz graduated from two Ivy League schools — Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also a former cardiothoracic surgeon. He had flaws but wasn’t exactly a slouch, either. Yet he lost to a guy who had a record of releasing violent criminals back on the street.

…In some areas, candidate quality is so irrelevant that one needn’t be alive to win elections.

Such was the case in Pennsylvania when Democrat Tony DeLuca won reelection as a state representative. DeLuca was an incumbent who served nearly 40 years in office but unfortunately died on Oct. 9 from lymphoma. Clearly, DeLuca was popular in his district. However, it’s hard to fathom that a deceased candidate was better than an alive one. DeLuca still won with 85% of the vote. Again, ideology drove the vote, not candidate quality.

Republican post-midterm elections infighting reaches state of ‘war’

Republicans may have won the battle to retake the House in this month’s midterm elections, but the manner of the win that ultimately resulted in a thinner majority than expected means the GOP is facing new challenges that could threaten its agenda — and they’re coming from within the party.

In the first week back in session, Republicans already experienced intraparty drama and infighting, a result of building tension from the last two years. Relations have been shaky among top Republicans, particularly after former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment that split the party based on who supported the former president’s claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

“You’ve gotta have a war every five or 10 years to get rid of the bad blood,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) told Politico, borrowing a line from The Godfather to paint a picture of Senate Republicans. “And then you start over.”

Survival Sunday

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 17:30 +0000

First, I am merely an “enlightened amateur”.  Please vet & check on your own.  Caveat emptor.  Consider these to be priming the pump for your own investigations.

Second, I fear spicy time is very close, but even a month of food, water, etc., puts you well ahead of most of the sheeple.  IMHO, set your minimum sights on a three-month period.

Third, two things will be critical for having the best chance of making it through:

  1. Mentality: first and foremost in survival is having a flexible mentality and cultivating the ability to adapt. Vanity has no place in survival.
  2. Develop a meatspace network of people that are likeminded: cultivate your community ties and build alliances with neighbors (note: don’t babble about the Jab or globalists or depopulation, or start pointing political fingers when doing this)… and remember, the first rule of PREP CLUB is that there is no prep club.

And please follow both me, Nitzakhon, on Gab… as well as my blog host Granite Grok and also on Telegram Tommy Robinson Official plus his Urban Scoop site.  And don’t forget posts sometimes get cloned on American Reveille as well, which is a good site to check out in general.

Suppressing healthy puberty in children with gender identity issues is an off-label use of the drug that hasn’t been approved by the FDA.

Now, isn’t THIS interesting.  They’ll permit off-label use to twist & sterilize children, but won’t permit off-label use of Ivermectin & HCQ.  The use they’ll allow sterilizes children so there won’t be offspring; the use they won’t allow enabled massive unnecessary deaths.

Why could that be? Are they looking to answer the 7.3 billion person question?

And what’s next?

There will a need to kill many billions of people or to starve them to death or to prevent them from giving birth in order to reduce the population of this world…

Short of years and untold wealth, you cannot possibly be fully prepared for everything (I have to keep reminding myself of that).  But even some preparations, ideally at least 90 days of food, water / water purification, etc., puts you head and shoulders in front of the vast majority of the sheeple who will be in jaw-gaping astonishment when the SHTF.  The only relevant questions are:

  1. When does it start?

  3. How long will it last?

Inflation:

Lenin is said to have declared that the best way to destroy the Capitalist System was to debauch the currency. By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens. By this method they not only confiscate, but they confiscate arbitrarily; and, while the process impoverishes many, it actually enriches some. The sight of this arbitrary rearrangement of riches strikes not only at security, but at confidence in the equity of the existing distribution of wealth.

How About Pumpkin Pizza?

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 16:00 +0000

I don’t think pumpkin growers have a lobby, and if they do, it’s probably nothing like the power of Big Corn, but I’m scrambling for another way to explain the rise of (that missing Spice Girl) pumpkin spice. And I like pumpkin pie, rolls, bread, or cakes, but it’s finding a way into beer, cereal, everything. How about Pizza?

Pumpkin Pizza.

I’ve worked for a few places that make pizza and have a reasonably open mind about it, but when I read the words, my body responded with a shudder. And then, I read the ingredients.

  • Pizza Crust
  • Olive Oil
  • Onion
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger Powder
  • Nutmeg
  • Allspice
  • Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • Milk
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Chicken Apple Sausage Links
  • Gouda Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Fresh Sage Leaves
  • Avocado Oi

Another tremble because that is too much work. I read the directions. Way too much work. And maybe it’s Fabulous! And I’ve no objection to any particular ingredient, but I think Pumpkin Pizza should be less work than a Thanksgiving Dinner.

Let’s cut all the fancy crap off the list (and a few other things) and see what we have left.

  • Pizza Crust
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger Powder
  • Nutmeg
  • Allspice
  • Canned Pumpkin
  • Sugar

I suppose cream cheese could be optional, so what next?

Mix all the ingredients except the pizza crust together. I don’t know. Figure out how much of each and wing it. Spread it on the pie crust. Bake it until it looks done. Then throw it away because it’s probably disgusting.

I don’t know. Pumpkin Pizza sounded weird, but maybe you can find a way to make it work.

The Chiefs on the NY State Dept. Of Ed Just Banished Indian Mascots “To the Reservation”

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 12:30 +0000

New York is full of liberals who always want to run things into the ground, and tradition is high on the list of targets. Liberal “Native Americans” are just as bad; get a few together, and they’ll pressure anyone they can (in the name of anti-discrimination) into erasing any sign of tribal influence on American culture.

Related: Cleveland Indians Change Team Name Inspired by First “American Indian” To Play Major League Ball

The New York State School Board has officially banned the use of Native American mascots in all public schools. Failing to comply could result in fines and loss of state aid.

“Arguments that community members support the use of such imagery or that it is ‘respectful’ to Native Americans are no longer tenable,” the department said in the memo, issued Thursday. …

“Students learn as much through observation of their surroundings as they do from direct instruction,” the memo added. “Boards of education that continue to utilize Native American mascots must reflect upon the message their choices convey to students, parents, and their communities.”

Public or local tribal support used to be all you needed to protect the mascot from harm, but that’s no longer the case. No matter how favorable or favored the depiction, the State Department of Education chiefs say they have to go.

How about a compromise?

Instead of virile unstoppable warriors with hatchets, what if the schools made them androgynous body-positive transgenders with rainbows and purple hair? It would solve a lot of problems.

Related: Land O Lakes Got Rid of the Indian and Kept the Land

First, it’s likely an accurate depiction of the school. Second, anyone complaining could be pilloried by a broader range of whiny left-wing-ax-grinders.

Go, Gender Warriors!

Or, student: “Excuse me, what did indigenous peoples look like?” Groomer: “We’re not allowed to show you. That would be racist.”

Note: The Featured Image is from Dartmouth… Massachusetts. Which voted in April of this year to keep its mascot.

Sun-King Sununu Really Hates GOP-Voters

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 02:30 +0000

Unless and until GOP voters understand that faux-Republican elitists like Chris Sununu, Mitch McConnell, Larry Hogan, etc. are NOT their their friends, their allies, on the same team, blah, blah, blah … but that these elitists actually despise and loathe GOP voters … there is no hope of saving the GOP from permanent minority-party status.

Here is Sun-King Sununu in Nevada obviously referring to GOP candidates like Don Bolduc, Karoline Leavitt, Blake Masters, Kari Like, and calling them CRAZY … which means he views the voters who nominated them as CRAZY. Do you get it yet? He never wanted Bolduc and Leavitt to win.

What matters to Sun-King Sununu and his elitist ilk is that they control the GOP. And if that means the GOP becomes a permanent minority … that is just fine with them.

Let Us Go Back in Time to the First Thanksgiving

Granite Grok - Sun, 2022-11-20 01:00 +0000

This Thanksgiving in 21st-century America, a dangerous mindset has permeated our beliefs for over a century. True history has been denied, so we do not benefit from its lessons. Perhaps we can label it the “accidental theory of history.”

This view dominates today despite the eternal truth spoken by Ben Franklin at the 1787 Constitutional Convention: “God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?”

Technologically we are giants of intellect, but in “self-government,” we are failing. Today we repeat the history of Israel declining into slavery as the Prophet Isaiah warned: “Therefore my people have gone into captivity for want of knowledge.” The knowledge they forgot is the same that we as a people have forgotten, our “Creator.” And that “He Governs in the affairs of men.”

Let us go back in time to the first Thanksgiving to see how God governed the affairs of our Pilgrim Fathers and how Plymouth Rock was prepared to be a safe haven for them to settle.

In William Bradford’s words, “Squanto” became an instrument of many blessings. Squanto, being the sole survivor of the Patuxet Indian Tribe, had been captured by an English explorer and taken to England in 1605, where he remained until 1619. Meanwhile, local Friars introduced him to Christianity, and when he returned to Plymouth in 1621, his tribe had been the victim of a plague, leaving him the sole surviving Patuxet Indian. Divine intervention? Yes!

Of the 100 Pilgrims who arrived at Plymouth, only 50 survived the suffering through that first winter from cold and disease. And among the 50 survivors, only 6 or 7 were physically sound. Hostile Indians, because of the plague, were spooked not to enter the Plymouth area, giving the disease-ridden remaining Pilgrims a safe haven. This, along with Squanto’s help until 1621, when he joined his adopted tribe, the Wampanoag Indians, enabled them to survive the winter guided by divine province. Being thankful for all their bounty, because of Squanto, Governor Bradford appointed a day of Thanksgiving, inviting Squanto’s adopted tribe to celebrate all these blessings from God.

The feast planned for one day lasted three days. They ate deer, fish, turkey, lobster, eels, vegetables, cornbread, herbs, and pies and the Indians even taught them how to make popcorn, according to the Providence Foundation. The righteous living of the Pilgrims was rewarded during the feast in which 90 Indians competed with the Pilgrims in running, wrestling, and shooting games. This wasn’t accidental history, as Ben Franklin said: “God governs in the affairs of man.”

In these troubled times, if America is to survive as a free nation, we must go back to the strength the Pilgrims modeled for us: even in their darkest hours in the deep cold of winter, their faith in God’s province carried them through. Let us learn the lessons from that First Thanksgiving. The blessings did not come from the government. No matter what moral persuasion you are, let us unite and look to our Creator, who is the soul Author of liberty who governs in the affairs of men. And “give thanks for the bounty that His liberty has produced.” Liberty is not accidental! Give Thanks! May all have a “blessed” Thanksgiving.

Federal Judge Blocks Biden Admin’s Radical Transgender Overreach

Granite Grok - Sat, 2022-11-19 23:30 +0000

Democrats are generous with your tax dollars when it comes to things like foreign aid, Green Energy Myths, and the Ukrainian laundromat. Refuse to administer puberty blockers or perform transgender surgeries and kiss your odds of getting reimbursed for Medicaid, Medicare, or research grants goodbye.

You could be morally, professionally, or scientifically opposed to the no-choice mandate, and it wouldn’t matter. The Biden Administration’s reinterpretation of provisions passed a decade ago stood in the way. From May 2021,

Yesterday’s HHS announcement will only lead to more incidents of poor patient [and] could also lead to medical professionals who understand the medical harms of hormones and surgery for “gender transition” purposes being silent about these harms, out of fear of being sued and punished for “discrimination.” Furthermore, it could lead to significant erosion of the conscience rights of medical professionals who have moral objections to “gender transition.”

Another example of the government getting between doctors and patients, which – correct me if I’m wrong, was a primary talking point for passing Obamacare. But the Biden era is founded on a Democrat party platform of medical intervention by Federal mandate. You will close your business, stay home, lose your job, get The Jab (and the booster), give children hormone therapies that could kill them, or perform unnecessary surgeries to remove sex parts without regard to mental or physical health.

They are pretty insistent with the threat of lost funding, losing your license to practice, or even prosecution.

But a Federal judge just tossed out the Biden HHS rules.

In his Friday decision, however, [U.S. District Judge Matthew] Kacsmaryk said the Biden administration’s interpretation of Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was erroneous, since the Bostock ruling “does not apply to Section 1557 or Title IX.”

According to the Trump-appointed judge, the HHS’ arguments attempting to “retroactively apply Bostock” to Section 1557 were “unpersuasive.” He pointed out that while “Congress could have included ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ in the statutory text,” it “chose not to.”

“Instead, Congress limited Section 1557’s protections to those afforded by other federal statutes — including Title IX. Because Title IX does not protect ‘sexual orientation’ or ‘gender identity’ status, neither does Section 1557,” Kacsmaryk wrote.

The victory could be short-lived. As predicted, the Lame Duck Congress will be ramming through whatever they can get to the House floor before January, whether the slim Dem majority in the US Senate can pass it. But some of it will get through, and Biden signs everything they put on his desk.

Congress could rewrite parts of Title IX and Section 1557, which, if passed into law, would mean more lawsuits to block it based on rights of conscience which get lip service as it is. The Government, including the Blue States, is happy to stomp on your religious freedoms and force you to spend a fortune fighting it in court.

We’ll take the win but expect the Dems to respond quickly to get what they want.

Nancy Steps Down….Finally

I watched Nancy Pelosi’s farewell speech today, and I confess I cannot shed a tear or think of any positivity in her reign. This last week has been huge for those who wanted to see a change of the guard and a slow-down of the Progressive slide we have been suffering through.

We all looked forward to this end of an era as we sought to win back the House. The Red Wave or Tsunami never took place, but all we need is a majority of one to rip the gavel from Nancy Pelosi’s waving hands and to grind to a halt the Biden spending spree.

Nancy Pelosi has been in Congress for thirty-five years. She has been in Leadership of the House under four presidents for twenty years. In a petty slight of her lips, she only acknowledged three. Pelosi ignored the term of Donald Trump, but we will not ignore her show of disrespect by tearing President Trump’s State of the Union speech to pieces. Pelosi’s time as Speaker can be summed up in two words; Power and corruption. She had absolute control of her caucus, and it was political death not to follow her lead. She was a money-making machine for her Party and her family, which is where the corruption comes into play.

The Pelosi’s have seen their net worth grow to over $120 Million. Some of that is from her $225K Speaker’s salary, but most is credited to her husband, Paul, and his very lucrative stock deals. Numerous deals have netted the Pelosi family millions that many say could not have happened without insider trading. Nancy’s career has been perfect for their retirement fund.

Running for office is a full-time sport for career politicians and a monetary windfall for their friends and family. The salaries for Senators and Congressmen \are fixed, but they have much flexibility with their staff and campaign workers. People like Pelosi and Maxine Waters have created high-paying careers for their children. Great for them and too bad for the American taxpayer. All legal and all bogus. Money is why these people can never walk away from their positions. Do you think a love of country and the flag keeps Diane Feinstein in office as she closes in on her tenth decade?

Pelosi is not walking away, but she is stepping down. She will not run for any leadership position, but I doubt you will see her sitting between Alexandria Cortez and Ilhan Omar. Somebody like Nancy lives for power; after 20 years, she cannot survive without her large staff and Thursday press briefing. She says she wants to continue speaking for the people of San Francisco, but I am curious if that is for the folks who live in homes on the Bay or in tents on the sidewalk.

I can picture Pelosi marching outside the Capitol after the passage of Obamacare, carrying an oversized gavel. The arrogance and show of power over the people is how I will remember Nancy Pelosi. She claims she wants to pass the torch to the new generation of Democrats, that her time has passed. Her favorite to succeed her is Hakeem Jeffries, a young Progressive from New York. I see him cut from the same cloth as Pelosi. He thrives for power, and this is his big break. The only problem with the next generation of Democrats is that they are the indoctrinated Socialists of the future. They have no love of the country and no grasp of its history. They only see how America should be as they were taught. If the Democrats want to destroy America, they can put their support behind the likes of Jeffries. We on the Right will rebuild this great country and make America great again.

Second Amendment Happy Ending of the Day – Don’t Enter Through a Lady’s Window Without Asking

Granite Grok - Sat, 2022-11-19 20:30 +0000

The more stories of this type we make know, the more that:

  • Stupid people MAY figure out that they are walking/slithering into their “Happy Ending”
  • The Public at large understands that guns are for defensive uses by those of us unable to physically defend ourselves against those of overpowering physical strength.
  • DGU (“Defensive Gun Use”) should be an acronym everyone should either take heart in or never try stupid stuff because you want something from someone else that isn’t yours.

Emphasis mine:

Birmingham Woman Shoots an Intruder as He Crawled Through Her Window

An unwelcome intruder crawling through a window qualifies as the worst kind of nightmare for most women, especially those who live alone. One woman in Birmingham, Alabama, however, had the perfect equalizer to deal with big, strong home invaders with evil in their hearts. She used it to great effect early Tuesday morning.

…A 29-year-old man was killed when police say he was shot while trying to break into a west Birmingham home. The burglary call went out at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at a house on Avenue O. The homeowner told police the intruder was trying to crawl through the window of her house. She grabbed her gun and fired a couple of shots, striking the burglary suspect once in the chest.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the homeowner knew the man. Authorities said the wounded man then ran a block to the Chevron on Bessemer Road where he collapsed at the front door of the store. A store worker called Birmingham 911 at 12:46 p.m. West Precinct officers arrived at the store and provided aid to the man until paramedics arrived. He was then transported to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m.

The would-be home invader was identified as Jamel Nathan Thomas, 29, of Birmingham. He won’t be victimizing anyone any more and becomes one of the 1.6 million defensive gun uses that occur annually in the United states.

Play stupid games, get stupid prizes.  In this case, his last prize, forever.
